Just causally looking, I can't decide if the animation of the snowball was drawn at a constant size and then scaled in an digital camera zoom, or if zoom was actually animated by the artists. There are some subtleties in perspective that make me think that either the zoom was hand animated or maybe the snowball is on a different plane for the virtual camera. Also, there is a barely perceptible "fish-eye" distortion on the shot that flattens out and the percentage difference widens in relation to the picture plane. Again, it may be in the original animator's drawing or it could be subtle manipulation by the layout choreographer.

No one wants to keep watching anime when it'll get subbed 1 time then die forever a season later. If no one gives back there's no incentive to watch new content in the first place. If there's no sense of community, then people are less likely to go above and beyond to help each other out.

The main database server crashed. It did this in a horrible way, leading to a few unrecoverable tables. Lets make this worse, it was in the middle of backups.

We have restored from backups, heres what we lost:
Last 4 days of snatch history (This includes seedtimes, per torrent ratio, etc)
Last 3 days of user specific info (new invites, global stats like upload/download/bp, some settings)
lots of change logs/notes for torrents


Moving forward, what are we doing:
Looking at completely changing our backup method, to get more frequent snapshots, but hopefully with less interruption to users.
Looking at getting a slave mirror of the database thats offsite (this is going to be harder, due to potential bandwidth requirements).

While we are back up now, its a sober reminder to check and double check your backups are working right.

Note: Do not PM me about getting info back. Upload ability can be gotten by asking via the support requests. Upload stats, seedtime, etc is gone, we can't restore it.

Racing small retail epubs doesn't really work. It's a way to increase your upload at the cost of your ratio but not when you have basically no buffer to spare.

Just keep uploading. Don't bother with <1mb books, aim for >20mb or even bigger if you can. Nobody snatches random fiction audiobooks that a are dime in a dozen. Some nonfiction stuff or books from popular authors do get snatched. Not all but some.

I've bee going round very closely reading up on different types of torrents, quality etc... and am in the process of re-building my entire movie collection from scratch.

However, this time, the ofer major different is i am not after "mixed" quality HD, 720p etc.... I'm only after 1080p, mkv and BDRip's only as these are sourced from Blueray discs directly . I'm not after BRRips because while they be sourced from disc directly, its from another release group, so i have no idea what they actually would do.

So, my requirements are rather strict....... What are the chances of getting most movies this way from public trackers ? But i've also seen evidence of only "near" blue-ray quality which is also not what i'm after..

They must be exact, or i'm not interested...

Yify is good, but very few either re-muxes i can proudly say are true quality... The one i go by is titles like "Back to the future" while in .mp4 is 1920x1080 in this format... But finding other movies that are exactly like this are very hard to come by...
