Yes, the old system benefitted seedbox users, but it was also better for users with home connections because they could actually build buffer. With the new system, users with slow connections must rely on gold (bonus points). This has done nothing but increase the gap between autodl seedbox users and home users.

If something appears to have few seeds on the main browse page, click through to the actual torrent page. Information on the main browse page is heavily cached and often for new torrents there are a lot more seeders on the actual torrent page. We've been having no issues with retention on new torrents lately so I suspect you were looking at incorrect stats on a torrent.
And in regards to old torrents, before the gold system was in place 17,000 torrents were at risk of dying. Recently we turned on the pruner and only lost 4,800 torrents. The gold system basically saved 12,800 torrents! So I'd say it's working as intended.

For Scene trackers, Usenet is a great source for downloading identical Scene release RARsets and seeding. Good way to get ratio, if you know how to make your torrent client seed the files you downloaded from Usenet
Usenet is better for Scene Bluray rips of TV series, for binge watchers, or people who want to archive a whole series in higher than TV quality, without station logos and on-screen promos

There are a few weeks to go until our next bill is due so wanting to put out the reminder to those who maybe have never donated before, that anyone with a credit card can send money either through Amazon Pay or through our credit card processor.
