NWCD can crow about its "standards" all it wants, but unless you have strong feelings about folder names, and want your content trumped every time a new version of EAC or XLD comes out, NWCD doesn't have a long-term survival plan once it pisses off its core members.

It'll be just like those other two trackers which, if I name, will probably get this post deleted. The ones that specialize in lossless (and often known for vinyl): niche trackers with elitist communities that also hover around 40-100K torrents and will never break it, despite having been up for years and years.

I mean, sure, those two trackers are great if you want the newest vinyl rips of every Pink Floyd album ever made. And if that's what NWCD strives to be, well, congrats. Apollo has better selection, and Redacted has even better selection than Apollo.

Honestly, the difference between "supporting the artist" by buying a CD at retail and downloading is about $0.10 per album. Artists are paid via live performance, not CD sales.
