Do you try to log without going on any page beforehand? Like having the log-in URL in your bookmarks?
The CSRF token gets deleted whenever the website is on a newer commit than the one it was on the last time you visited (which is also triggered whenever you delete all your cookies). If you happen to be on the login or settings page when that happens, it will give a CSRF token error because it gets deleted and is needed
You can fix this by going on the front page or any other page beforehand, then going to the log-in page so that the script triggers when you are on the front page and as such the CRSF token isn't deleted when you go to log-in

If it happens in other cases than stated above, your browser or you are probably doing weird things with your cookies. I'll work on a fix with akuma regardless, as to avoid triggering the script in pages where the CRSF token might be needed

If you go to a user's profile, not all torrents they've uploaded appear. Example: user https://nyaa.pantsu.cat/view/957174 has uploaded https://nyaa.pantsu.cat/view/957174 but isn't on their profile.

On a side note, I really want this Nyaa to have success, and thus I'd like to offer a bit of unsolicited constructive criticism.
- I've been taking a look at transparency files and I think some expenses need further explanation. Why exactly are fire extinguishers and ovens listed there? How are they related to Nyaa Pantsu?
- About the handling of abuse and copyright notices: I think you should be less... informal. Use proper grammar, reference actual laws to back up your claims of not being liable for being just a tracker in the country where it's hosted, don't publicly say "we sent this fake error message lulz!" if you reply back with a fake error message (and you mistype the e-mail, which an automated reply wouldn't contain).
- I think the layout has room for improvement. It pains me to say this but nyaa.si has just a flat out better layout. Use more horizontal space, make the font bigger on the search boxes, fix the "Sign in" div position and allow registration too, remove bold style from torrent names, make the date format consistent between listings and torrent details, properly display stats on recently uploaded torrents.

I apologize if I've sounded rude, but my genuine intention is to help.

Torrents require a torrent file. When you use a magnet, this torrent file is downloaded from other peers, and only then the client can start looking for more peers. This requires looking up the DHT which is slow, especially when there's not many peers, or none (and it's even worse with pantsu broken counters since you don't know which torrent doesn't have any peer and which ones do).

All of this data can already be made available by the tracker so why not, anyway?

I will now go in depth about why each one is terrible.


Nyaa is as suspicious as it sounds. There are new viruses called "catz" which stand for "Computer Anti-Tech Zebras". Zebras are code for Trojans (they look alike, hence the name, and cath sounds worse anyways).

BakaBT, as the name suggests, makes you realize you are an idiot the second you download something. Viruses fucking galore.

TokyoToshokan. Toshokan actually means killer in Japanese. By using this website, a virus called Tokyo (Tom's Old Komputer YUO OIP). (YUO and OIP are some serious technical shit.) These render your computer useless.

#news takes on a new form of downloading called XDCC. Basically, you can watch anime as you download it. However, this means that the virus is also activated as it is downloaded. Therefore, by the time you finish watching, the virus will have come to it's final form, and your computer compromised.

AnimeTake is also a giveaway. Just look at the name. You get anime from it, it takes your personal identity. That's already bad enough.

AnimeTosho is bad for similar reasons to TokyoToshokan.

AnimeSenshi. Senshi is Japanese for warrior. In other words, it installs a virus that enters your computer, sieges your firewall, and cuts down all the necessary files for your computer.

Mediafire is a place where some hackers will upload anime for other people to download. Don't believe these seemingly generous people. The files get in and sets all your media on fire.

In other words, you should NOT download anime no matter what you do.

There is no doubt in my mind if Pantsu can get the basic functions working and add useful features such as AniDB integration, the project will be a success. But the way things are right now (lead dev missing, lack of devs in general, databases fucked, search fucked, stats fucked, lots and lots of other basic functions not working properly) you can't really expect Pantsu to be the go-to place for anime.
