Start by buying books that interest you and you WANT to read even if they aren't productive books. You can move onto technical books you have to sometimes pull through with later. Buy physical books so that you actually have to step away from your computer and read them.

this is a good start, when i grew up my parents bathroom always had a huge stack of reading material, now that i live with roommates i realize reading while taking a shit is rare, but i have memorized so many "bathroom books" basically if you read some book for 5 minutes every day while you take a shit in the morning you gonna have that shit down inside and out, better for tech books than figure or something with a narrative

You can get those comfy internet vibes while gaining knowledge.

Use kindle books or other eBooks on your computer. I know people will laugh at this but I'm ADD as fuck and it's worked really well for me. Having a little percentage progress bar at the bottom of the screen makes it feel like a game. You just set the text size so it's comfortable to read on your screen, make it a full sized window to avoid distractions, and put one finger on the arrow key to progress through the pages when you are done reading them. It gives you a distraction free experience of a book and where you can pull up your text editor and start coding along to the examples whenever you want.

lets say you read 10 of them what then?
if you got the message they are trying to pass do you need to keep them ? NO then you go and donate them to a school or something
do you feel that you have a lot to learn from the books you already read? if so then yeah keep them until you think the message has passed on up to the point that they are useless to you and then you donate them..

you are essentially paying for something to help someone else read the same book that doesnt have the money to buy it...and im glad with it but some others feel like having a huge library on their house somehow makes them smarter..
