How can I make audio quality on linux not suck ass?

Do I really have to buy extra stuff for this? The audio quality on windows is far, far better. I listen to music on linux, and there's no surround sound or even bass ffs.

Nice trips, but if you just want the sound like you want, you could install/configure plug ins for your preferred audio player (like audacious, audacious has a lot of audio enhancement plug ins by default), or yet you can install something in the audio management system (alsa or oss), or by a proxy like PulseAudio. Next time ask on those thread like >>61449248, or if it is specific >>>/g/fglt/, hope you get enlighted.
