Depends on how much you want to spend. I'm not really aware of any alternatives to the bm800 from chinkland. It will pick up more than your voice though, but that's the same with any mic of this type. It helps to put it right in your face, but yeah.. I think the yetis are the same in this regard (they're shit though). It's cheap on ebay, but you need either a phantom power supply (cheap but meme) or an audio interface (bit more expensive but non-meme).

A directional dynamic mic, maybe even a shotgun mic, is probably a better idea, but then you'll have to spend a lot more money.

I just got this in the mail, it's a "ZHILAI Audio H1 USB Sound Card" that I was hoping would sound better than my onboard audio.

I listened to some music using my KZ ZS5 and compared the ZHILAI to my computer's on-board audio, which i believe is a Realtek ALC892 chipset. I have pictures to accommodate the review:

1) This is what it looks like opened up. The construction is fairly simple, the PCB slides in and out freely and is held in with two face-plates that can be unscrewed off. There's no rattle when its assembled. This picture only shows one of them unscrewed. It also came with a nicely wrapped USB B to USB cable. These pics were taken on a potato so please forgive my phone's weird color balance.

2) Under the DAC, it was pretty smudged up.

3) The leads were cut really long, I guess the chinks got lazy

4) The USB-B port was also really messy, but you don't get to see the top of it when its assembled.

5) Close-up of the "Chongx" capacitors

6) Close-up of the PCM2704 chip by Texas Instruments, not sure if the chinks have cloned this. The quartz crystal is really messy too.

7) Here's what the inside looks like without the DAC, one of the screws is under the case to hold it at an angle

Overall I'm displeased with it, it has an quiet but audible "hissing" at all volumes regardless of where I plug it into my computer, and it sounds slightly worse than my on-board audio. The hissing is inaudible if you play music but if you're not listening to anything you can definitely hear it. It is however very loud and anything above a volume of 2-3 in windows will blow my ears off. I would only recommend this if you have terrible on-board audio or if you have hard-to-drive cans. The case is nice too.

Also the magnetic ring has to be the right size so it's a good idea to order it separately. I even had a magic kit as a kid.

I bought one of those off amazon a while ago(and am currently using it).

The yellow fin things on the side are ugly as fuck, and the extendable feet are flimsy and fucking awful, and are attached to said yellow fins.
Luckily you can just take those off and not give a fuck, but you'll either need to apply some other form of rubberized pad to the bottom toward the front or peel them off the yellow fins since there aren't any on the actual main body. And I ignore the missing extendable feet by using a roll of electrical tape as a rest, since keyboards in general have always had badly gauged height/angle placement for their feet.

Assuming you're fine with that it's overall pretty decent, since it's gateron switches on a sort of okay-looking-without-the-fins frame for $50~. Yellow backlight is also unique, if nothing else. I also took it apart to check the soldering, and it was actually really well done, so build quality on the board itself is pretty decent.

The keycaps it comes with are actually much better quality/feeling than I expected. I mean, I swapped them out for a set of vortex PBT's I already owned with o-ring's, but the default is a set of relatively nice, thick ABS caps. Even if they do have an ugly font. Much better than the sort of thin ABS shit you'll get from the big "gamer" brand keyboards.

Yeah, the images on the product's page show 2 chips on each side (for a total of 4). Mine has only 1 chip. My guess is that each chip represents 64GB (I've bought a 64GB SSD, but they show the picture of the 256GB SSD).

So after years of working like absolute shit, the audio jack from my speakers doesn't work at all and headphones give no sound.

Tell me the chinks have something to solve this.

it's quite personal in terms of what aesthetics you want and what your budget is and such. look for thick pbt keycaps. most people prefer cherry profile but OEM profile/OEM height is cheaper.

And yes, you can run multiple audio devices from your computer. I have the DAC dedicated entirely to headphones, have my default audio device set to the DAC and for anything I actually want to use speakers for I change the settings to default to the on-board speaker out. Or on the occasion that whatever it is doesn't allow direct option for sound output, just change the default back to the speakers.

It's all really easy and painless. Also convenient since you can isolate sound channels - ie, listen to music while playing a video game, having video game feed to headphones while music goes through speakers.
I pretty much only use speakers for music, though. If it seems inconvenient/whatever you can probably just get a 3.5mm splitter or something.
