Has anyone tried games on their macbook?

I have a 2016 Touchbar 15" and wondered how well it plays some normie games like Overwatch, kinda out of curiosity. But I feel like installing Windows is like installing cancer so I haven't bothered to try it out.

I work in "engineering" when tech support gets a case that even their top tier "specialists" can't handle they submit an RTA and have us basically retrieve the device from the customer and document heavily what's going on and what steps there are to remedy the issue if it can be.

Well, if you don't want to install windows I'd basically recommend playing CS:GO. I'm sure you could run it at max settings at native resolution, but if I remember correctly, the MacOS port is garbage and has lots of issues with some effects such as the smoke.

Other than that you can basically just play indie 2d pixel-art games on Mac OS.

The only good thing that Apple makes anymore is Mac OS X. Their desktop hardware is utter trash now. They need to focus on software and look into Macintosh clones again like they did in the 90s, or at least go back to modular, repairable, upgradeable hardware like they had around 2010. Just got me a new MBP for editing. Shit this thing runs well. And the keyboard is actually much nicer than I expected. Only thing is I haven't used the touch at much. It does make stuff slightly faster when you do remember to use it, but you have to force yourself.

Current lineup is meh unless I want to spend a small forturne - is the iPhone SE a good phone, and will it last for a few years at least? I'm still on iOS9 on my SE so I don't know how it performs on iOS10 and can't tell how it will perform on later updates. That said, if form factor is a critical point for you and you don't want to get the more recent Xperia Compacts (it's the only other small phone I want, personally, not aware of any others), it'll likely be good enough and it should be slated for iOS12 at least, going by dates.

Now, I'm well aware of the "Macs are not for gaming!" meme. But what if I also want to game on one, but I don't wanna bring an additional laptop with me? What if the games I wanna play are windows-only, and require such low specs, that they'd be the CPU equivalent of browsing Youtube?

I am well aware that a modern game would most likely make a modern Macbook pro just too damn hot. So my question is directly related with older games (90's/ mid to early 2000s's). It seems like reviewers often take refuge behind the "Macs are not for gaming" meme and don't provide a complete answer; instead opting to conduct a few tests (usually on bootcamp) with current year games (Overwatch, Witcher 3, etc), get the expected high temperatures and low framerates, and call it a day.

But there are literally thousands of older great windows games which shouldn't require any more processing power than browsing youtube, and few people ever ask about those.

I also am of the opinion that, since disk memory is so expensive on Macbooks, it would be a huge inconvenient to further partition an already rather small and/or expensive hard drive. Ergo I'd assume the best option to (hypothetically) be using a wrapper for those older windows games which I wanna play on my macbook.

Couple weeks ago I bought a fully functional iPhone 5C off a friend for $30. The power button kept clicking itself (which is why he upgraded to a 6) but since then that has stopped happening entirely.

Does anyone run Iodine on their iOS device? The only thing I really miss from Android is a mobile wrapper for Iodine so I can get around paid WiFi portals.

Android allows apps to create fake VPN connections to tunnel all data. So there was an Iodine app that funneled everything. But it seems I need to be jailbroken on iOS to use it, and there's no native app. Just the binary and a shell script. Anyone use it and want to share opinions/experience?

Well, there already was about 8 releases and all of them were approved without any problems (there was only one rejection caused by my mistake). Looks like disabled by default media files (with deeply hidden setting to enable them back) and hidden NSFW boards are giving me a bit of safety.
