I think most of us like PantsuDev. He has his head on straight, and is actually a competent developer. Writing the site in Go was the right choice, even if that means fewer people can develop for it. It has the side-effect of greatly reducing the hardware requirements.

I should also mention that this is the model that The Pirate Bay uses. They're incredibly resilient because they have a stupid amount of very cheap servers all over the place. Their software runs entirely in RAM and their servers don't even have HDDs. If a server gets seized, it just fails back to the next one. If a domain gets seized, they've got plenty more. This all wouldn't be possible if the site has heavy hardware requirements.
