Look. Pajeets are struggling to get the damn thing to sync. Recently there was a problem where any empty sized office doc (think right-click->new->word document) would break sync.
I believe it's held together with COBAL and used bandaids. It's a monster screaming "KILL ME" while people jam life support down it's throat. So no, it can't sync arbitrary folders because it can barely selectively sync folders in a well-defined location.
