these are what I have now. Waiting on a Ducky One Grey & Blue w/ mx browns. The Model M keycaps I dyed myself. I used RIT and it sucked so I stopped half-way through and I'm waiting on some better dye in the mail now that will be really strong colors. Gonna do the brown, yellow, red, orange 70's theme.

the spacebar angle is obviously less of a problem with DSA profile. with cherry/OEM profile the bottom row is angled away from you quite severely because it's sculpted for your fingers not for your thumbs.

Is arguing about flipped spacebars this week's meme?

Has anyone here bought the Input Club K-Type that is on Massdrop right now? I just don't understand who it's for, hot swappable switches and nice alumnium construction would make it seem like an enthusiast board, but it also has the rgb lighting for the gamer crowd. The new Kailhua produced switches seem interesting, but I doubt they will be similar to Topre like claimed.

Motherfucker I have used a kinesis, I know the thumb buttons are angled both towards the user and their hands.

I am having problems with my keyboards where a couple of keys are sticking. I haven't spilled any fluids onto the keyboard or anything unlike that so I am unsure as to what the cause is but is there a way to fix the keys that have begun to stick?

Can't stand them! They hurt my fingers, after hours of use, because of all the sharp corners. They're also impossible to use with thumbs (I like to alt/ctrl + tab/v/c/x/etc with one hand).

Basically, I'll either switch to some more comfy profile or I'll just sell my mkb and go back to chicklet-style. mkb is just not comfy after 3-4hrs of use.

I've flipped OEM spacebar. Still not ideal but way better than in original configuration. I've flipped all other keys (except super keys) in the bottom row as well. Better, but no ideal.

I've been pressing ctrl with a pinky. Feels weird since I used thumb all my life. Alt is more challenging since I don't know which finger to use so I just use whichever.

I still fucking hate cherry/OEM because of sharp corners on all other keys.

That's why I want to try DSA/XDA. Are they comfier? Would they help in my situation? I'd like an opinion from someone who uses it daily.

1.5mm is about as thick you'll get for cherry mount keycaps. other than the thickness it's mostly about the aesthetics and the price and such. enjoypbt is good if you can afford them. then there are cheaper ones like this which are good too:

If you want something on the cheap side get a Ducky One with thicc dye-sub PBT keycaps. There are better options out there like gateron cherry profile, but those would be another 50 bucks on top of your keyboard.

If the thumb is left pushed out (not curled in)and the arm of your chair holds your arms even/slightly above the keyboard, the thumb more often than not lays angled in a way which a flipped space-bar is beneficial.

if your elbow is at desk height and your keyboard is flat on the desk, and your wrist and your thumb are in their neutral position, your thumb will have a slight upward angle when using the spacebar. the cherry/OEM profile bottom row is angled for your fingers, not for your thumbs.

I had 2 of these mouses and they both died on me.
I have one of the BL keyboard and the caps have all rubbed off.

I used to have a router from them (a long time ago) and that POS had a fatal flaw that would make it unusalbe after you use the web UI for too long. The memory would fill up and never empty.

I didn't pay for any of it so i'm not even mad but I definatelly will never buy form them ever again.

yesterday I put some RIT dye in distilled water, put in about 150ml of white vinegar. I brought this to a boil and dropped all of my original model M keycaps in. Did I take if off boil? not at all. I set a timer for 30 minutes--and played dark souls 3. When I came back, I took them out, washed them in cold water, and dropped them back in that boiling ass dye for another 30 minutes. did this 4 times.

I did literally everything everyone said not to do any my keys still came out great. no warp (fit perfectly back on), even dye (a bit lighter though), legends show perfectly. play it fast and loose friends there is no truth

yeah man i think about that all the time. noppoo choc mini is a pricier alternative but you can get it with cherry mx switches (or gateron but it's not available on aliexpress right now) and it comes with much better stock keycaps (if you get drevo or ajazz you should upgrade the keycaps if your budget allows)

yes that's my keyboard in pic related with noppoo blue switches. the stock keycaps are translucent POM with a black coating. i would recommend it if you can find one for sale. ebay has a couple of them in the US with brown switches right now. there is also the plum 84 with topre clones from aliexpress or with regular switches from taobao.

Custom keyboard anon here. I have the pcb design drawn up and am about to send it off to a printing service. I'll be getting my plate soon too. All I have yet to work out is finding a place that will manufacture my acrylic layer. Here is the board layout I've come up with. It is a bit of a cross between a V60 and CM pro M. It is the most compact full keyboard with an attached numpad.

The only key it lacks is Scroll Lock... but scroll lock is a shit key anyways.

Got a G810. They kinda feel like browns just a little less smooth and the tactile bump is less noticable when typing fast. Overall not as nice as cherry mx but the centered lighting is an advange as is the stability of the keys.

That being said I whinged about the horrible metallic ping sound and my squeaky as shit space bar and they're sending me out a G610 with cherry mx red so I'll see if i prefer that.
