Take Re:creators as example this season. Herkz ripped the first episode from amazon in high quality and posted on Nyaa, HS used shitty low quality TV raws and released first episode 1 day later. Still HS got 4x more downloads. People got used to HS, it's a recognizable brand, they don't even look at anything else anymore.

If someone decided to compete with HS it would take years for people to even start noticing them. Besides you can't compete with HS in speed, they already release everything almost instantly. Releasing something 10 minutes earlier won't change anything.

I haven't paid any attention or updated myself on this situation since like Sunday or Monday
