It's a .ass file, which is a subtitle file. I used mkv toolnix to create a new .mkv file with the raw and this. I think you can also just load it through your media player as long as you rename it the same as the raw file and is in the same folder.

I'm around, still figuring out a good way to achieve it and I've had second thoughts about many things. After coming across many different technologies there may be an even better way to do it.

Originally the idea was to have release nodes controller by groups such as HS, Ohys, etc, who would publish their releases and others would listen. I then thought of having a massive database using orbit-db, the problem with this is that is can easily be spammed, overwritten, it basically has no perms, although I believe that the devs are working on something but that is way off into the future. Ethereum is also another potential solution, this will allow some sort of authority on the database.

After thinking though I still believe that the best way would be a system that is similar to the original design. Release nodes will stay the same, groups will publish their releases and people will listen, although adding in another element would be a federated server, this would be pantsu or nyaazi, TT etc, they would collect releases from nodes that people can submit to them, this would create one central place, having in this central place ensure that moderation can occur (people who spam release nodes with junk data, or malicious files, shit like that). In this situation the federated server can also act as a release node. Client can listen to it like they would a release node and it'll send new releases it finds over pubsub as well as moderation actions so the client has a clean database. If normies don't want to use IPFS at all they can just use Pantsu as normal and use search querys on the front end to be exactly how it is now.

I did up a diagram at home, I'm at school at the moment, when I get home in like 6-7 hours I'll post it. If you're a bit confused, I can clarify information if needed.

I'm not sure what the other guy is working on atm, I believe he was trying to setup some sort of database using the merkel dag or something similar.
