I recently got a seedbox because I couldn't maintain ratio with my current connection. I'm a little conflicted now. It's so fucking luxurious, it's just $5 and I don't have to worry about ratio at all, I don't have to keep my client up, and I can turn my computer off when I sleep. I feel all those concerns cost me more than the money I'm paying for the seedbox.

But on the other hand, I'm literally paying to pirate and I might never be able to quit when I know how easy life is with a seedbox. 10 years from now, I'll have spent hundreds of dollars just to inflate a counter on a site. Maybe I can tell myself that since $5 a month is $60 a year, it's worth it as long as it gives me access to $60 worth of content that I wouldn't otherwise be able to torrent. Or maybe I can imagine it gives me insurance against those ridiculous fines you can get if you get caught, which would be a bargain if it actually works that way. But it's all justification after the fact.

I'm also really tempted to upgrade. 500GB would be so much nicer than my current 250GB. But even 500 wouldn't be enough.

You let it go inactive yes. Don't hassle the admins because they'll get more annoyed about that than if you let it go inactive. Also if you ever decide you want to get back on you can probably go on the IRC and ask to be re-enabled and there's a chance they will do it.

There's no point in letting an account go inactive, just log in once a month. I bookmark all my trackers and make sure I open them all once every couple of weeks or so. There are some accounts for things that I've literally never used but they're there if I ever need them.
