Ada translated an article about the computer at some point, and a program for the machine was included in some notes that were appended to the translated article. That's all we know about her "programming" afaik.

Yeah, no. Living in Sweden, the sheer volue of PC worship of "female contributors" to field X in academia is maddening. Some women get hyped up to meme level and this is mostly independent of how good they actually were.

Ada Lovelace was a smart woman and very likely did write non-trivial programs, but the truth is that we don't have much direct evidence of her work related to the difference engine, we just have a few notes and we don't know if she wrote the programs in those notes. We also know from her correspondance that she fixed a bug in one of Babbages programs at some point.
