I just bought Corsair K65 LUX RGB Tenkeyless keyboard. It's my first mechanical keyboard so I haven't been in this general before either. How do people like it? I think the build quality seems good but I can't tell for sure since I have no prior experience.

The backlight is a nice feature to me and I keep it in single color, always on. After that it looks pretty normal. It's possible to get some animations with the colors but I don't use that feature. If there was the same one with one solid backlight that's not changeable I would have taken that as well.

How do mx clears compare to browns force-wise? I know they are heavier etc., but that doesn't tell me much. For example, my browns feel like nothing at all and I regularly hit wrong keys because they are too "easy-going". I think clears might alleviate that, but I am not sure whether they are too heavy, like that one shitty membrane keyboard I use at work. That one just feels like pushing through thick mud all the time.

I have DSA caps that stick to the edges the novatouch, had to shave the corners off of a lot of them just to make them fit.

So I need a keyboard that's portable. The labs at my school sometimes have really shitty keyboards and I'd like to be able to use my own keyboard.

Obviously smaller is better for this so I've been looking at the POK3R or HHKB, but I'm also not sure how durable they are (i.e. how will they fare being carried around in a bag all the time?) Are there protective cases for this kind of thing?

Beats me. One thing with dyesubbing is that if you don't do it properly, things can get blurry, so maybe that's related to it. I'm not very familiar with the process of dye-subbing though, so don't take my word for it.

1. It supports PCB mounted switches (which is what I'm using). The switches feel just as sturdy as plate mounted switches, though there's some flex in the PCB, so as a whole it doesn't feel as sturdy.

2. I don't have any cherry boards with costar style stabilizers, but I have that AEK II Mini build that I made, I'm not very impressed by them. They don't feel any better than cherry stabs but they're far louder.

3. That's a tough one. Given my current income, no. Maybe once I have a greater income I would. Given that my dick would still be above 18cm in length after the fact, I'd consider it a viable option.
