I'd say remove the hard drive, and try turning it on with a bootable flash drive, see where that gets you, if that works that means you can wipe the hard drive with your daily grinder. Generally replacing the hard drive completely would be my rec. You can browse through their shit by plugging the hard drive into your own computer and what not

Create a bootable Linux USB drive, bootinto it and go to the laptop's C:\Windows\system32 folder. Delete "sethc.exe", make a duplicate of "CMD.exe" and rename it to "sethc.exe". Boot back into windows and mash the shift key a bunch and it'll open a command prompt, then run a "net user" command

I bought a tablet off fleabay that came complete with some other person's google account, apps and data set up on it. They didn't bother to factory reset it. No protection on it, either. (No, I didn't fuck with any of it, just factory reset it myself)

Fast boot only happens on shutdown. Reboot instead. Click the little power symbol and restart. Then hammer the usual suspects (escape, enter, F1, F2, F10, delete) as it reboots.
