Is it a normal for Xiaomi Mi5 to have the screen go completely red in the split second after you lock the screen but before it actually goes black?

I'm still using my second-gen Moto G I got in December 2014. It has been everything I wanted from a phone: cheap, well-built and reliable with MicroSD expansion and an acceptable camera. The fact that it has gotten just as many updates as the flagships of the time is also a huge plus, especially since it only cost me $180 off contract.

My question is, would it be worth upgrading to the G5 from this? LTE and the higher screen resolution would be nice but I also worry about battery life and build quality, plus dat camera bump is ugly af compared to my phone's nearly flat exterior. Should I maybe wait for those Nokias, or just not bother at all?

I'm an AT&T customer in the US looking for a new phone. I'm eyeing the Oneplus 3 & 3T but I've heard that they can have issues with getting AT&T LTE to work properly. Using those one-handed keyboard modes really helps, even if you can reach the other end of the screen. Because you don't have to stretch your thumb as much.

Okay so something really weird happened... I flashed latest Lineage OS on my phone and after rebooting when I tried to decrypt it complained my password was incorrect... Tried several times but it still said it wasn't the correct password. Rebooted and then entered my password, it then said "reboot your device to unlock phone" which I did and then upon the next boot I entered my password and this time it was accepted. Does anyone know why this happened? Did some file get corrupted during update and then Android restored it or what the fuck happened?

G5+ has got a good camera as well with a f1.7 aperture, and from what I recall the Moto G5+ sports the same camera sensor as the Samsung just without OIS, also it's running basically stock nougat and it's launcher is like an updated Google Now launcher with swipe up for the app tray

I really like my 6.5" Doogee Y6 Max. Good screen, great speaker, good enough SOC, 3GB RAM. Good enough cameras too. Totally useless GPS, wifi and bluetooth share antenna so using both results in audio stuttering.

I bought this when I was looking for a 7" tablet. Basically all the cheap chinese 7" tablets are pure garbage and those overpriced 7" tables sold locally have worse specs at twice the price.

Not sure if the gigantic phone I got will be right for you but more generally, if you want a 7" tablet then a 6.5" phone will get you a lot more for way less. If you want 8" then perhaps it's slightly too small. What I can tell you is that for me 6.5" is totally perfect as a tablet around the home. I barely use the 10" I have anymore because that's just too big. I basically either just grab the laptop or use the 6.5" tablet.

I used to use the ASUS file manager but recently switched to another app just called... File Manager (by Flashlight + Clock I believe). The main reason is because it's completely free and has no ads.

I still find it disgraceful that the two most popular mobile operating systems have no native file manager, and yet both my Blackberry 9300 (cheap shit device running BBOS 5 when I first got it) and my Classic (made when Blackberry was apparently failing) both managed to have super functional and good-looking file managers built in. For Priv owners, did Blackberry bother to port the BBOS 10 file manager to Android, like they did with the keyboard? Because if so I would use that in a heartbeat.

The G2 and G3 still have issues, just not as many. My G2 had a partial touchscreen failure, which seems to be the most common problem. The G3 gets the "screen flickering" problem. Both are related to overheating, and it's because they used shitty Snapdragon SoCs coupled with poor soldering work. Other phones with the same SoCs still get hot but they don't die because they're made correctly.

so I just flashed my phone with a ROM I've used in the past, and it somehow ended up shooting these "Unfortunately, X thing has stopped" in a nonstop loop and does not let me do anything except turn it off.

Things that stopped include System UI, Calls, Keyboard, etc. The messages just repeat in an endless loop until I get tired and turn the phone off.

Hey guys, getting close to time for me to upgrade my phone. Currently using a Note 4 and am getting tired of shitty standby time (need to charge it every couple days)

What would you all recommend? Needs to be an Android phone provided through or compatible with Verizon. 95% of my use is playing emulated games (up through Nintendo DS), but I like taking pictures as well (action figures or model kits usually, so macro mode, good use with indoor lighting, and a great camera in general is important). I uninstalled the basic google apps (maps, music, books, etc) through a root enabled uninstaller, and now the phone just doesn't stop with these "Unfortunately, Google Books/Music/etc has stopped". Can't get rid of these messages, and they pop up every 10-20 or so minutes.
