Will a MicroATX motherboard fit over Mini ITX holes?
Biostar has a few of these boards that are 6.7" mini ITX but with two PCIe slots, giving it a bit of extra length. But its still 6.7" lengthwise.
They have an AM1 one im interested in and an LGA 1150 one too. Im thinking single slot gpu + pcie SSD in a mini itx case like a Cooler Master Elite 110.
In that case id go for Lga 1150 over AM1 due to pci lanes obviously.

That's a mini-DTX board that you're talking about. Yes, it should fit into most 2 slot ITX cases.

The only problem is that you won't be able to use dual slot graphics cards unless if you enjoy getting bottlenecked by the 1x PCIe slot and not be able to use the 16x PCIe slot at all. Kinda negates the entire purpose.

How does Linux let you update the kernel without rebooting? How can you update something you're using?

I'm pretty stupid about mice. One of these things when you want to spend a lot of something good and not actually understanding how to utilize the GOOD and to configure everything to its full potential.
I don't move my mouse around on the table a lot. I expect the cursor to cross the screen's width by just turning my wrist, while keeping my arm stationary. So far, my settings are fine.

No. Higher DPS just means higher precision. If the mouse is using cheap sensors you start to get jitter or glitches on the higher DPS options.
It's more ergonomic to use your whole arm compared to just your wrist.

How did you guys cope up with lack of confidence when starting your first job in IT/software development?

I'm trying to apply for summer internships but my grades aren't top of the line (mostly Bs, although I do have a portfolio of software projects) and I study in a college instead of a university (university and colleges has a distinction here in Canada) so I lack the confidence in applying and thinking that I might be fit for a job. I'm trying to install windows 7 and for whatever reason I'm getting an error that reads "No device drivers were found. Make sure the installation media contains the correct drivers, amd then click OK."

I have an "old" ViewSonic monitor that just randomly stopped showing anything. The LED status light shows that it turns on and off as expected, and the computer recognizes it has connected, but the screen stays black. I did get it to flash with my desktop once before for a fraction of a second.

Realistically speaking, if a live feed of video were to be taken through your laptop webcam, there would be some form of network traffic making an outbound connection to another host, correct? At least on my old laptop, after formatting and freshly installing Windows there's no video drivers, no network drivers, etc. It would be stuck at 800x600 with no network capability (at least not Wi-Fi, I don't know about Ethernet). I don't know if Windows update or w/e can grab them for you, but to be on the safe side just find video & network drivers that work on your system, like the ones you have installed already.

You also want to set it to not turn off hard disks. Otherwise it'll stay awake but still spin down the disk when left idle. Restarting should be fine.

OK friends. I'm trying to fix an arch install that seemingly randomly stopped working. It fails to update man-db.cache on boot.

The network setup I'm on involves a router chained off another router (work-around for some unrelated wifi issues). Roughly a year ago my laptop was running hot.
I cleaned it and on idle it was sitting at 30C which sounds normal for a laptop. I then had an idea of getting my desk fan to blow air inside the case using the openings in the back (the ones used for the heat sink). I managed to get that 30C to 17C. But then a few months after that the 17C turned to 20C and a few more to 25C.

My question is, does blowing air inside a laptop damage it? Does it dry out the thermal paste quicker? Right now the temperature is still at normal levels but I'm worried that the temperature will just keep on increasing. I clean it at least 3 times a week already. The only thing I haven't done is replacing the thermal paste; you have to disassemble the laptop to apply it and I'm too scared to try.

Clean old thermal paste off using some alcohol (isopropyl is the best). I usually use cotton buds and toilet paper for this job.
Apply new thermal paste. Spread very thin equal layer over the processor, just thin enough to cover it. If you apply too much, the paste will be acting as an isolator, not conductor.

I want to dual boot Arch and windows. Doing that is WAY over my head. What are some resources that can help me do that without fucking up my system?
