The X200 isn't pretty though. It has a lot of the pre-2004 feel of ports and shit jutting out everywhere, not to mention the bezel. X300/1 is simply better looking. They established a much better layout on X220/30, although there are other detriments.

But yeah, its a piece of shit. It flexes a lot more than any laptop should, its performance is garbage even doing normal shit like browsing 4chan, and to top it all off it suffers from hinge screen cable wear.
One day I opened the thing and the screen got all flickery
It got worse an few days later
And it honestly wasn't something so nice that I cared about fixing it, so it got tossed.

if the screen is lower, the distance to look back up from the keyboard is shorter. i was trying to shittalk you/them. but my actual point is that the bottom bezel is not a big deal considering that this lifts up the screen ever so slightly, making the angle you have to tilt your head to get a comfortable usage out of it less painful. design wise, i think that was pretty smart. i wish they had reinforced the top frame though. the hinge is quite tough, and i always feel like my thumb might damage the lcd beneath the plastic frame
