>all drugs are dangerous.

Everything is dangerous in too high excess, even fucking water. You need to know the proper dosage, be vary of not getting addicted, and make sure you use the right product (ie. not something that was tempered to be more lethal/addictive). As long as you follow those three rules, no drug is dangerous.

The problem here is that since they are banned, the only way to get them is from questionable sources. And because of that you'll never know its exact composition, nor the proper dosage, leading to addiction at best, fatalities at worst.

we have too many people to deal with the people who have problems with drugs as individuals, so it has to be banned across the board. you want a society with more trust and freedom? get rid of non-whites.

and i disagree strongly with the technical points about drug quality. that really has nothing to do with people getting addicted or not. they're either addictive individuals or they're not. dosage isn't going to alter that, even taking E pills which have meth in them instead of just MDMA or MDA isn't going to make a difference. some people can take drugs recreationally, have a great time, and give it not another thought. they don't crave to repeat.

i mean yeah, fentanyl fatalities and shit happen. but who gives a fuck desu.

now excuse me, i have to soak several cotton rods from benzedrex inhalers in gatorade to get the propylhexadrine out. god i wish i could just buy adderall at the drug store.

You can have invasive as hell searches and seizures, but shit slips through the cracks--it always slips through the cracks. People just get smarter and eventually beat the system. You can't protect everybody, so create something so invasive.

Not to mention, companies haven't exactly been very diligent with people's information--they get hacked all the fuck time, so now you're whole life is at the whim of a company's lackluster security.

For people that actually want to talk about the topic at hand:

The bill was a government regulation that prevented ISP's from doing the same business that companies like Google and Facebook already do. ISP's didn't like the fact that they could collect browsing data but do nothing with it, while Zuck and Google mine the fuck out of everyone's data and sell it to whoever will pay for it. Google's is able to skirt the regulation even though Google serves an ISP role in several cities. The ISP side of the business isn't legally allowed to do it but they just don't give a shit because they're big enough to have many other business lines where they *can* legally get the data.

So now Comcast and Time/Warner/Spectrum/whatever they are now are allowed to sell your info too.
>>
>>59728994
people choose to use Google

your ISP is usually not an option for rural and suburban retards.
>>
>>59727639
Not only haven't they been in place half a year, they've NEVER been in place. The rule change half a year ago wasn't supposed to go into effect for another 6 months from today. They repealed a rule that literally had never been in effect.

It's common practice for an outgoing administration to adopt a bunch of rules and laws that are impractical just so the incoming administration looks bad when they repeal them, which is exactly what we have here.
>>
>>59728994

That's an interesting perspective to take on the topic, but do you think it's a fair comparison? An ISP and a website are two very different services (excluding your example of Google as an ISP, which is an entirely valid point). ISP's are already paid a lot of money by their customers, so wouldn't it be reasonable that a part of that service should include data privacy?
I figured it was generally acceptable that Google and Facebook make their money from selling information because they're "free" services that people volunteer to use. An ISP is something people need in order to access any websites, data peddling or otherwise.

Oh I'm 100% behind "Government and big business GIT OUT" when it comes to data privacy, but the problem is that you can't put the mushroom cloud back into the metal container. There are companies whose entire business model revolves around collecting information on as many people as possible and selling that info to the highest bidder. Started back in the late 90's with Acxiom, then came the search engine wars and Google saw the value in doing it too. This stuff has been going on a really long time. Hell the original design of the internet intended that everyone have a publicly routable IP address and that all systems could talk with one another. Privacy was an afterthought.

Remove the regulation that causes local monopolies.
Pretty simple.

And stop corporations from even TOUCHING regulation. At the moment they just get lawyers to write it and pay politicians to sign it.

it's ironic that people who commit digital piracy complain about the privacy of their data. after all, the corporations aren't stealing your data. you still have it. they just copied it.

secondly, it's not 'your' data. you didn't generate it. the collector of the data did. if you had databases on servers storing data, yes, that would be your data. the recording of your actions is the generation of your data, since, of course, you did not act in order to create data, nor under contract as data-producer.

unless otherwise stated, of course, storing information on your server does in fact grant you ownership. after all, do you not own the information you store on YOUR server? - noticeably none of which is the data we're speaking of.

our enemies are not men with guns, anon, our enemy is a spiritual disease, and the question of our survival or extinction will be answered by whether or not we're able to formulate strategies by which our society can be healed of our spiritual disease. We are truly lost, as a culture and society. only time will tell if good or evil prevails in our collective hearts and minds.

to this end i propose firstly that if we retain the institution of public schools, fully half of the effort and resources of k-12 education will be devoted to physical training, exercise, and martial arts. students will be tested in martial arts to pass onto the next grade, and they will be graded on technical progress, bravery, and resilience. A continual athletic progression will be required in order to move up the grades and achieve a High school diploma.

The result will be a generation where every 18 year old graduating is at the peak, the maximum of physical strength, health, and beauty, as well as having over a decade of training in hand to hand combat, rendering them fearless and dangerous if threatened.

You literally are crying because a natural monopoly (because infraestructura) can do the same that Google and Facebook can do?
You literally are shooting in the foot. Yes, it's bad, but also is bad that only Google and Kikebook can shill the government.
You can't defend the anterior law without defending kikebook or jewgle.

Remind me when someone put this into place?
I was pretty fucking sure this is always how it's been anyway so why should I care?
I still do what I always have been doing since Snowden, generate hundreds of terabytes of mangled data out of files, headers, and known cracked encrypted files, and send it all around from VPS to VPS to my actual servers, and throw up a frontend webserver on each server that simply displays a rapidly scrolling bitmap of the raw data, along with a small textbox below it that allows you to enter "Address, message, key, and time" and will at some point inject this into the stream, with no known way to decrypt. Available via tor, by the way, for maximum fuckery.
I hope to god someone tries to store this, because the raw metadata alone would fill up countless drives per day.
Can't just ignore it all, what if terrorists are using it to plan attacks, or it's actually just streaming tones of CP? What if the textbox allows for any length input, and you can just paste in the base64 of CP? Leaked government docs? What if foreign governments are using this to chat, like a numbers station? What if that's what it is?
Guess you need to store it all then.
So now ISP's can store shit.
Watch me care.
