>>
>>59651831
What does this have to do with Trump? It was voted for by Republican senators. Trump had nothing to do with it, and can even veto the decision (not that he's going to). This hysterical viewpoint that everything the Republicans do is Trump's fault is asinine, and lets people like Paul Ryan, who's at least as slimy if not more so, completely off the hook.
>>
>>59653649
No it isn't. You can have an internet without technology, with all the spyware intact. This topic is not technological.
>>
>>59651831
At this point, why does it even bothers you so fucking much?

All your intel agencies have it, there's a ~95% chance all your data is "mined" by a tech giant.
Considering the fact that sooner or later tech giants won't make shit money from ads, i'm not even surprised.

Even then, if you would have wanted 100% privacy you would know that browsing the internet from home(or anyother place that requires your identification) is the most retarded shit ever, and it's not like these things are known since yesterday, they're known from at least the 90s.

I'd rather think that your problem isn't with the privacy itself, but the legal roundabouts of what you're browsing.

If it bothers you so fucking much move to another country, even the communist shithole that is the EU has better privacy laws than US for 10+ years.

>>
This isn't even that big of a deal. No different from how Facebook, Google, and pornhub track your browsing habits.

Think about this as if it wasn't technology. Imagine if you walked into Starbucks every day to order coffee. Starbucks decides to remember what drinks you buy every day so they more easily market to you with specials, coupons, etc. And keep you as a customer, or sell your drinking habits to the Starbucks franchise in the next town because they've seen you purchase drinks from there a few times

Now imagine that this was illegal because you have a right to privacy in Starbucks when drinking Starbucks drinks, and that privacy includes your habits of drinking Starbucks drinks

If you think about it logically, how much data can they really get, anyways. 99% of the data sent between you and a server is encrypted these days. Even if it wasn't encrypted, it'd still be illegal for the ISP to snoop on said transfers. About the only data they have legal access to is whatever info they have on you that you gave them when you signed up, and a log of what IP addresses you are communicating with.

So, I guess they'll know that a random 30 year old man, or possibly someone in his family, or possibly a friend, is watching netflix. Wow. Advertising companies are going to be dying for that kind of intel!

At least Google uses its massive botnet to keep tabs on everything their cattle does, from search terms to the links they click on affiliated websites, and link it all back to specific individuals social media accounts. Way more valuable.

Most senators are multimillionaires. If you have millions of dollars, you probably have it invested in diversified stocks. You should probably break it down by how many shares they hold, to see if they're actively investing in said company or just doing normal trading.

AIPAC could target anyone that's visited a BDS site.

It's dangerous to free speech. The internet is communications and should have the same protections as a phone.

Mexico no joke even on a McDonald's salary you will live like a king there and the crime rate is about the same as America's the difference is that in America a cop will shoot you and you just have to accept it because if you shoot at him you have the death penalty. In Mexico it's just a drug cartel member and you'll probably get a tax break for each you shoot

>The internet is communications and should have the same protections as a phone.

They do. Your phone company knows exactly who you're calling and when and how long, but they don't know the contents of the call. Your ISP knows exactly what IP you're connecting to and when and how much data was transferred, but they don't know the contents of the communication.

I mean, do you even think about what you're posting, or are you just going with reactionary outrage based on a narrative that's been force fed to you?
