After switching to Linux 8 years ago, my system is a lot more stable, and I spend far less time having to dick around with the OS and apps. I simply run one big "apt-get" command, and it literally takes only 5 minutes to install the 40 or so apps I use. With Windows, it used to take waaaay more time to install a system+apps.

You too can have this level of convenience, if you want.

Leaving Windows behind was enormously cathartic. I put Ubuntu on an old thinkpad I don't use any more and it's a breath of fresh air. I still have windows on my main computer because I need to use a few programs (Sony Vegas, REAPER) but knowing that I'm no longer tied down to the worst OS of all time is great
