Are chromebooks the ideal shit posting devices in terms of value for money /g/? All I'm looking for is a laptop with a decent keyboard/screen and build quality for 400-500 dollars. What can you recommend me /g/?

Don't listen to these autists anon. Memepads are comfy but you can't even watch full HD movies on these dinosaurs without some stutter. Also they need tons of tinkering before you can even use them with some comfort.
Personally, I'd consider these in your price range:

Most thinkpad models have a "normal" and a "better" screen ( e.g. X220 and X230 have an optional IPS panel)

I hope you are aware that the T420 has no USB 3.0 ports. Apparently you can put in an Expresscard but you don't get the full speed.
