Here, you can browse and find what works best for you, they will all be relitively solid for games. I always recommend a desktop but if you NEED the portability any of those would be decent. Again though, desktop is highly recommended.

Your best bet is a thinkpad or similar used lenovo. I got pic related for a smooth hundred bucks and It's great. I haven't even upgraded the ram or HHD yet and I can get away with playing PS3 era games on the Windows partition just fine which surprised the hell out of me. You can find some pretty badass thinkpads in the $400-$500 range.
