Is teleportation possible?
>>
>>59281623
No but rejoice you can travel in the future by staying close to a black hole's horizon
>>
>>59281623

Who is this curry slurry?
>>
>>59281623
Just out of our range right now

We can't copy then reassemble atoms and cells right now (and we don't know if it's painful or not)

Also, there is a huge quantity of information (I mean, a gigantic amount of data) to transmit in order to teleport
>>
No it's not.
>>
No.
>>
>>59281623
Yes, it is.
>>
>>59281657
I can travel in the future sitting on my ass all day.
>>
>>59281657
Or just by being in a very strong gravitational field. Everything that's outside gravitational fields of the same intensity will appear as sped up from your point of view. Good luck staying still and close to an event horizon, that said...
>>
>>59281623
The biggest question is how it would work. If this making a copy then send just info then i would never fuckin use it on myself...
>>
Even if it was.

Would you really want it?

This is one of the best videos on this topic ever.

I don't think it is senpai
>>
>>59281623
Depends on how you define teleportation. The most practically-viable method currently seems to be warping gravity around the object to be moved, causing it to become displaced relative to the surrounding space. In effect, you could have something move infinitely fast because it would exist in it's own gravitational bubble, the observer inside wouldn't actually be moving at all. The problem is that you need an astronomical amount of energy to pull this off, and several advancements would be needed to even test the theory. There is also the issue that you'd vaporize anything in your travel path, and upon stopping, all the matter and energy you accumulated along the way will be shot forward in a wave of destruction. Would make a pretty sweet weapon now that I think of it.

>Zephyrus
Some of his contents are great, but this video is just shit with his monotonous voice and slow pace.
CGPGrey did a better one :-

Wouldn't that gonna be harmfull for the human body?

>Take flat table(10m minimum) and two identical spheres
>Measure vibration frequency of both
>Remove one and impost the frequency of another one on it
>Sphere stops existing at a and appears at b
Congratulations you've changed reality, no laws broken.
>>
>>59283150
I forgot to mention, you're supposed to put spheres at each end, and
>>
>>59281623
>>>/sci/
>>
>>59283165
..and remove the one in which place you want another, do frequency thing on the other one.
>>
>>59282634
No more harmful than staying close to a black hole's horizon, I suppose.
>>
this is a philosophical question. Not a technical one.

indians are white
caucasian anyway

Teleportation is an established technique in the laboratory.

Unfortunately, it requires a laser beam of equivalent power to the mass-energy of the object being teleported, so probably not feasable for more than a molecule or so for the foreseeable future.
>>
>>59283312
>>59283176
You are both retarded
>>
>>59281623
quantum entanglement is teleportation of information.
>>
>>59284561
ok so you could teleport information disintegrating an object while also 3d scanning it. and instantly make it show up on the other side. Will it be the same object ? thats a problem to philosophers not tech guys.
>>
>>59281623
Prove time exists.
Go ahead, I'll "wait"
>>
>>59283585
said the street shitter
>>
Not for you op. Unless your not telling us something....
>>
No.

Some people make retarded philosophical arguments that even if it was possible you shouldn't do it because you'd be destroying yourself and then remaking a copy of yourself, which to be honest is of no practical significance.

As if 'you' is any sort of constant to begin with, or that there would be any real way to distinguish your 'copy' from the 'real' 'you' >>>>>>>.

If we were to find a way to disassemble our atoms and reassemble them somewhere else, we would effectively bee killing ourselves many times over. No one would be able to tell the difference, but the first you that exists would die the first time you teleport.

Here's one of the retards I spoke of. Just ignore their autistic screeching.

I believe it is tripskank from /fa. I may be mistaken, but if not - tripskank did some amateur porn.

you want to peepee in her poopoo
did i know what you mean
>>
>>59287255
What? No.

Just wanted to take a dump in her lavatory.
>>
>>59283315
I agree with you that these videos are just stupid.
>>59282058
>>59282129
These videos operate under a flawed assumption that consciousness and individuality is something more than just a side effect of our brains processing past memories.
>>
>>59284592
Assuming it has the same exact molecular structure then it may as well be the same object.
>>
Is there any believable human teleportation theory that doesn't involve killing you and placing a clone of yourself somewhere else?
