Because HDMI comes with a licensing fee and DisplayPort doesn't. It's more expensive to include extra HDMI ports, which is why almost all cards only have one. Asus include two on some of their higher end models because they're useful for VR, but their cards are also overpriced as fuck, so they can afford to.
