I have both, DT770 is way better, but you have to get an amp for it. If you don't have a dac already, you have to get one too. I use a fiio e10k. It's cheap and works well.

M50X is good in some ways because you can use it for your computer or phone.

I currently have music on my phone, but I've seen a few people on here using Zune HDs for music storage. I have an opportunity to get a like new HD Platinum for pretty cheap. Should I go for it and buy a nice, expensive piece of meme hardware or just keep using my phone?
