Bridge doesn't raise high enough.
Should've just made the bridge 10m higher so they didn't need a draw bridge.
Stop lights cause traffic during peak hours.
Should've just installed a boat lifter to lift the boats over the bridge instead of causing traffic.

I've actually sailed through that bridge multiple times. It's a quick bridge and definately raises high enough. Since we've got a lot of bridges and not enough Linux we might as well rice our bridges. Also why the Netherlands should definately be second.

This may be the biggest technology fail in the world. If Jobs was still alive, Apple could be amazing right now. Instead they are removing basic features and failing to stay in the decade spec wise. Yet it keeps selling because applefags are nigger cattle.

My theory is Apple is purposely downgrading. They know people will still buy them yes, but it will also cause other tech companies to fuck themselves up from the inside so they seem like they are with the times. Example being the fifty other companies removing the headphone jack.

I also think they removed the headphone jack as a distraction. Since they aren't updating the specs and features to be with the times, the removal of the aux distracted the media for one more year. That is, at least one mor year until people complain about bad specs.

Is there any logical reason why you would fucking say that post is underrated? Has anybody expressed any kind of dissatisfaction or criticism at all against it? Are you delusional? Are you reading replies that are nonexistant? Maybe you come from communities with voting systems, but there is literally no way that you could know what other people think of that post you just replied to here. Maybe it's psychological. Maybe it's your own post you're replying to, like a 12 year old fucktard liking his own facebook posts thinking his swelling autism is going unnoticed. Maybe your self esteem depends on you tricking yourself into thinking someone out there thinks your post is worth something. Or maybe you are just a retard, the worst kind of retard, the one who thinks he's smart, the one who thinks he's the only one to have gotten the joke, to have understood the post. Well, guess what, faggot, that post is by no definition underrated so why don't you do the world a favour and go check out what the bottom of your toilet smells like?

The problem is that presumably the canal does have some tall loads transport through it on barges. Even though its only about 10m wide.
Building a fixed bridge to accommodate such tall loads would require huge amounts of earth works to raise the road up for the bridge and it wouldn't make any sense for such a small water way.

The bridge is perfect how it is.

Holy shit, in my web development courses at college (part of my IT major) we went over this exact shit.

A huge issue we went over in class is that so many modern websites are over-engineered to the point where they're just fucking annoying to use. Infinite scroll was one of the biggest offenders that everyone in the small-sized class could agree on.

Like, the entire room got communally triggered when I brought it up. Nobody likes it.

The biggest problem with infinite scroll is that you have no idea how far you can go. Because it usually isn't infinite.
Eventually you will hit a wall, but you don't know when. You might get to what you were looking for but the indefinite nature of it is really fucking dumb.

That and if it is something like a timeline where you know what you want will be a long way down you have no way to jump through to it.

The only way it is reasonably acceptable is if it can be used in conjunction with a good filtering system so you can limit the results enough it won't take very long to scroll through/to them.

I hate it when in public or even private bathrooms/restrooms they have the automated tissue/toilet paper dispensers mounted either way too low against the wall (like 12" from the damned floor directly beside the toilet itself you might happen to be sitting on to shit on) or they place them higher on the wall above some bar or whatever (to help with disabled individuals) and the bar is so close to the bottom of the dispenser that you can't actually get more than a sheet or two at a time.

Wiping your ass with a bunch of individual sheets is not really a workable solution.

Took me a second to recognise the copypasta. When I did, I must admit I had myself a good little angry tirade. I typically don't find 'Internet copypastas' especially annoying or angering, in fact it took me years to stop appreciating the classic 'Navy SEAL' copypasta. Nonetheless, in today's bitter political climate, I find solace in more traditional forms of humour, a little bit of an injection of real comedy in this world full of 'irony' and 'dankness'. Ironically bad jokes are still bad jokes people - NEWSFLASH. This is a bang up unoriginal job, and I hope to see much, much less of you in the future.

heres to hoping none of your classmates will ever use it, and will imprint on future work colleagues the same understanding

btw, is usability of the site with no javascript discussed in your webdev classes?
you should make it barely usable, if you Must use asynchronous, do it with post-to-iframe (still js-off) with submit buttons showing (css them to look like how it would with js-on);
and then you build the fagotized JS interface on top of that, hiding the sumbit butttons and having the ajax happen automatically instead of the user having to click "do this shiet" a few times

this applies to infiinite scroll as well, the "load more" button could delete the first 2x itens, unhide x itens in the tail, while requesting another 2x itens, which will come with half hidden, the inexperienced user still gets the instantaneous benefit of infitine scroll... but its better to just let pagination happen when JS-off, users quickly learn to open the next page on a new tab while they read the current one

>>58910791
>The only way it is reasonably acceptable
is if you erase on-the-fly previous items as new ones are appended, and modify the url to reflect how deep in the listing you are and be able to link to that position, basically just making a pagination scheme with the only real normie benefit: not having to wait. thats what i meant here in ( ) >>58908073

>filtering... won't take very long to scroll through/to them.
no, you still need to show how many results were found, its its too much the user will then refine the filter (or test different forked refinements), but bad filters (or lack of it) and no "order-by" is a fault on its own already

at least with pages you can just open them all in 20 tabs and do a 20x control+F tab and find the shit

Yes it's a load bearing structure, this is right by the front door and is one of two beams that run right through to a floating canopy

Come to think of it we never checked the other beam

A new web and flange were welded to the existing beam, I don't know how kosher this is, but as long as the weld was good I can't see a huge problem
