The only reason the average thinkpad user here wouldn't recommend it over a T420 or a x220 is the size really. If you can handle it, and its weight, it's really good. Some people would rather get smaller shit

The t420 is the most useless 200 series Thinkpad. Irredeemable screen, still over 5lbs so not ultra portable.
220 has IPS option and the t520 has a much nice screen option while only being marginally larger than the t520

I was going to buy an x220, but I can't find IPS screen replacements for it in my country, only the little thing.

I need to know something: Is an SSD really that much of an improvement on an x220? Does linux fly on that shit?
