There's more sub bass than I would think, and the bass is set at a regular level (not over the top or emphasized). The mids are clear enough and sound natural, sometimes they lack a little. wel... it's chinky, but don't know what i expected actually. Kinda light compared to my EDC (51 vs 35g), but otherwise awesome for the price, stand good onthe hand too. I bought a Xiaomi Bluetooth 4.0 speaker mini which was delivered today (ordered on the 8th of January over aliexpress).
Picture shows the speaker in relation to the Bose Soundlink that I possess.
The Xiaomi was USD 19.80 incl. shipment. No taxes or import duties were added when importing to the EU.
The speaker is build pretty solidly. The casing has a metal band and the front and back are made from black plastic which looks nice and not too cheap. Overall the looks and design are very ok.
The speaker has a button to turn it off and on, a LED light indicating when on and a mini-USB port for charging.
Of course the Xiaomi speaker is not as good as the Bose (which retails around 200€, so around 10x the price). But it is surprisingly ok for such a small and cheap speaker. Compared to the bose it lacks the bass and also if turned to loud you might hear some overdrive / clipping, which is not the case with bose. On lower volumes however, this does not happen.
Loudness will be ok for a setting at home or when for music on a picknick or similar occasions.
I'm pretty happy with it. If you are looking for a cheap speaker, this might be one to go for. Don't expect sound miracles but at a fraction of the price of the bose sound link, it is very good.
