Just for the record, BTN has closed recruiting from PTP. Based on previous trends, they probably won't reopen for months, and when they do, it will probably only be for a few weeks.

PTP does not recruit from BTN, nor anywhere else except maybe HDB. Only confirmed path to HDB right now is through BIB, and there are no known paths to BIB as of now. But they will probably resume recruitment sometime within the next couple of months....

Basically, if you're not already on at least one cabal tracker (HDB, BTN, PTP, BIB) you probably won't get into any of them for a while.

This. Personally I've uploaded about half as much on PTH in ~6 weeks as I did on What in ~6 years. And a much higher percentage of my uploads to PTH have been santched too -- I had at least ten uploads on What that went well over a year or two and were never snatched as of the site going down.

And APL isn't some magical land where everyone snatches everything either.... Besides, just because people have 1TB or w/e of buffer, doesn't mean they want to squander it on stuff they have no interest in. I guarantee most of you whining about it wouldn't do so if you were in their shoes.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the current state of PTH's economy. If you don't like it, fuck off to Apollo but don't whine about it here.

What it really means is that a person can upload something, seed one or very few copies and still have it counted to their user class FOREVER. And the torrent stays dead and no one wants to reseed it because it doesn't count as an 'upload' so that upload stays permanently dead.

And what I'm unhappy about on Apollo and bonus points is the infamous case of 'limiting your upload speed to 1 kb/s' and farming bonus points or people who stop seeding when they see you leeching.

We only recommended the MAM → TEHC → GGN pathway a while ago because there was literally shit all in terms of promising tracker invites and now you should just get into PTH and lurk there until something interesting pops up (without new members trackers will stagnate and PTH has the necessary 'connections' in terms of their sysops, recruitment strategy, difficulty and moderators to get invites eventually.)
