I get where you're coming from, but it's KDE Neon for me now

rather have the functionality of Xfce, so Xubuntu for now
>>58530074
what functionality does XFCE offer that MATE does not?
I'm using it for a year on my x201.
I have no complains.
cinnamon or xfce are the only two choices

I ascended to tiling masterrace, but I still have that MATE on my odroid, for now.

Customization in GNOME2/MATE is so awful. I wish the devs would just join XFCE.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:numix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install numix-icon-theme numix-icon-theme-circle
sudo apt-get install cinnamon

GNOME 2 isn't being developped anymore.
