You won't have the overclock all the time like before, you when it requires more horsepower, you literally set a limit on how high it goes and do not configure it to a static number. Turn on power saving, then it won't throttle, as soon as you open anything requiring 3D acceleration, it jumps to your overclock.

I have actually had a much better time with my rx480 than my 600 series nvidia card. So far I've had one crash from the drivers and I'm about 3 months in. I don't understand the shit drivers meme now that I'm using an AMD card.
