If it's the case that Russia leaked emails (which is what they mean with "hacked the election", even though Hillary got a bump in the polls right after Comey threw away the investigation a second time), then I thank them.

It exposed the DNC then chair Debbie bullying MSNBC because of a critical article or something, threatening to contact the editor. Donna Brazile leaking questions to the Clinton campaign. Goldman Sachs speeches where Clinton says she has a private and public opinion. Screwing over Bernie and gloating over closed primary elections. etc, etc, etc...

It was a public good that they were leaked. It's a shame the MSM didn't cover the leaks enough (not to mention good enough), not to mention a shame that it actually didn't have that much of an impact.

Hillary's campaign had en effect though. 9% of Democrats voted for Trump (she still won the popular vote by 2.8 million though, which is pretty crazy). Well done Hillary. Totally everyone else's fault though. Sure.

Only in instances where tools/malware first appear, can you begin to make assumptions about their origins because shortly after initial use, they are sold or even given away to other hackers. This works as additional insurance to blur their origins. The malware used in our case can be found all over the web for free and has been used numerous times.
