Allright Im facing a small conundrum, a few weeks ago my Nexus 6 charging port stopped working so I took it to a repair shop. Now my phone already had the glass cra med but the actual LCD and digitizer were intact when I took it to them. A week later they called me to tell me the port was fixed but the screen needed replacement. Turns out the motherfuckers broke the actual LCD but since the glass was already broken it was pretty much my word against theirs and I had no hard proof of the fact that the screen was working so I didn't majke much a fuss because I'm not going to sue because of a fucking phone. Oh and they actually didn't fix the port either. So now I have to choose, do I spend 300 bucks on fixing the damn thing or should I spend a hundred bucks more and get a One Plus One 3T? I've had the Nexus since a few months after it initially released

I've had it for a few months. Not too bad I have to say. Hardware wise, it's great with a few shortcomings and strange quirks. Software wise, it certainly doesn't have some of the common concerns with Chinese phones (i.e. Adups or other phone home services). However, like all Chinese phones, there are some strange software quirks and nonsensical changes over stock.

Thankfully, the devs seem eager to foster a ROM community, but there are only 2 debloated stock based Roms and 1 unofficial CM Rom. So don't expect a nexus or Oneplus level of customization.

But seriously, this phone has been done to death by You tubers, and most of what they say about the phone is accurate in terms of issues. So don't just take my word for it.

I live in China (I'm the Galaxy Core Max guy above) and when I rip the back off to swap the battery, people freak out because they think I've just wrecked my phone. It does make a really nice series of clicks, cracks and snaps as the catches release.

Swappable battery was one of the must-have features on this phone, there were only a handful with everything that I wanted and that was 24 months ago now, hate to think what it's like now.

You could with the right tools but you can't do that easily on a train or bus or something. Swappable batteries means having power when you get somewhere after a day of walking around using maps and stuff.

I travel a lot so swappable batteries is important to me, even if I were just using it a lot at uni, I'd still want to be able to put in a good battery. I also want to be able to slap in a fresh battery when I've used it as a cycle tracker all day.

About charging - I'm working as a security detail at the local embassies and ambassadors, which means lot of standing around and waiting. I use my phone a lot when charging from a bank without any issue. Can't see that as a valid point. Bank will also last after the phone upgrade.

I don't know much about smartphones but I know that the one I got sucks.
I have a doogee f3 pro and it's actually quite nice , the only thing that bothers me is the ridicoulos battery life and the fact that it dosen't charge on many devices , including my powerbank.

I had a x5 pro and was actually quite satisfied with it ,so my needs are probably very basic.

I use maps a lot and would like to have a battery that lasts about 1,5 - 2 days, more is allways better.
