If you have some script that watches a thread then sends you a text message or activates your alarm, post it, it would be interesting to see.

What are you talking about? I don't go on discord because I'm not a 15yo gaymur. I hang out in the /csg/ IRC channel, if you must know, because text-only is superior to any chat platform which supports images, gifs, YouTube links and emojis.

I'm honestly wondering if there are scripts that watch threads then use one of those free SMS sites to text your phone. Would the 4chan API even allow for something like that?

Why is the Xioami Redmi Note so good? I bought it for 150 bucks with free shipping and a free case. It's an incredible phone.

Mi Max owner here, I think both of you faggits are right. The xiaomi is basically pretty close to flagships when taking pics with good lighting, but it has serious problems with focussing and the lack of OIS doesn't really help. These things will basically fuck up almost every indoor photo that is not a pic of your battlestation or something. The thing is that flagship phones will generally only get you slightly less shitty results because they are all limited by size.

TL;DR
flagships are significantly better, especially in low light, but all phone cameras suck, so should you even really care?

Hi, Xiaomi Redmi 3 anon who's phone died a month back when I put an OTG adapter in it and it managed to short circuit the board or something (note that the otg adapter wasn't connected to anything on the other end).

Tried everything software-wise, hardware button 60s holding, opened it up to reseat the battery and reconnect it, but it won't turn on, the phone charges fine however so the logic board charging structure is intact (it gets hot when charging from a 2A power source).
Ordered a DEEP FLASH XIAOMI CABLE pic related.

It arrived today, and now it seems to me like it can't do anything either, no matter how much I hold the switch in the middle, it just won't do anything, literally chinked out of 150 bucks, shit didn't even last 6 months.

I'm not gonna say this is an isolated case because it clearly isn't, it's documented online (although very few cases), but the fact remains that a chink 20 cent OTG adapter with a piece of metal (microUSB) managed to fuck up a phone beyond any repair, and it's left a bad taste in my mouth. Bought a used Galaxy S5 for the same amount of money and I couldn't be happier. Gonna probably resell this shit for 40$ and call it a day, so much stress over a fucking chink phone.

I would guess you damaged something physically, how does the micro USB socket of the RN3P look inside? Are any contacts bent/shorted?
Putting the data lines to GND or 5V shouldn't damage the phone because there will be some kind of input protection, and that's pretty much the worst the adapter can do.
>>
>>58078333
The port is completely fine, like I said, charges just fine, it's a normal Redmi 3 5" phone btw.
None of the contacts on either the OTG adapter or the phone are bent.

This OTG adapter, I've been using these for a good part of the decade now, with a bunch of different devices - no issue ever.

I'm pretty sure those are either fake battery stats or they just refresh the clock app on minimum brightness, which is why they don't include the used apps.

My rmn3p gets around 8-8.5 hours SoT on Wi-Fi. If I use 4g that drops down by around an hour.

Don't listen to those shills, you'll just get buyers remorse. Ignore them and enjoy your redmi for still being a good phone for the price you paid.
>>
>>58080125
no it's not fake but it is a Mi Max. I would expect most of the extra mAh to go towards the screen but maybe it does add some significant amount of power.

I do get full 4g reception in my house and wifi is also perfect in my room.

On less optimal 'runs' with travel and more standby time I still get 9 hours SOT over 2 days tho.

I just received my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 that I ordered from BangGood on November 24 (fuck that long ass shipping.) I've turned it on and skipped through the set up shit just to check it out. I'd suggest using either Xiaomi.eu builds for a better base debloated MIUI experience, at the very least.

Best experience would be with the GlobeROM, which is a customizable MIUI build of the above that gives you nifty checkboxes n shit.

Beyond this, because you purchased the mediatek version you're mostly going to be limited to MIUI roms, but personally I like MIUI more on my RN3p.

I would recommend a soldering station where you can control the temperature, like the $20 one from HobbyKing.

There are so many soldering tutorials on YouTube, for normal through hole parts as well as for SMD. I'm really clumsy but it's really not that hard to solder most of the stuff. There are things which are difficult, like repairing PCBs in smartphones where everything is highly integrated.

Xiaomi just sucks at making the best of mtk.

It's due to the Mtk, not Xiaomi in this case, I agree that they neglect their devices running on mtk, but that doesn't affect performance. What's compared in your video is an entry-level SoC to an upper mid-range one. Only the Helio X25 can rival the 650 in standard use, Mediatek still has some catching up to do in those fields, though the things are looking promising.

OTA is through the manufacturer, it would be too much of a hassle for the vendor. Get your phone, look for update, if it doesn't find it's most likely a vendor rom, then you have to flash manually, for which /csg would gladly help :)
>>
>>58081125
If you can do OTA that means your ROM is legit and not from vendor and you dont have to worry. If you dont have OTA's Update to the latest global through EDL mode and enjoy. When you get your unlock permission, you can flash xiaomi.eu which is a debloated MIUI rom based on china developer. I am running that and i like it.
>>
>>58081354
The chinks put FPGA in the title so it shows up when you search for a fpga.

you can set the speed with the pot

Do chink tablets from brands like cube come pre-installed with malware and adware?
>>
>>58082866
They did. China sent them a batch of AIDS-emitting diodes though and the rest is history.

Is there a good meme USB drive brand like mixza was for sd cards?

No. Everything is good. Especially the 1TB usb disks.

Is there any meme tablet I can buy for cheap?
What would be better, ebook reader or said tablet for reading mostly.

My Benjie K9 mp3 player has just arrived! I bought this for $19.99 on Amazon. For some reason, it's more expensive in chink stores.

Definitely better than Ruizu x02. Sound's good, UI is a bit better, it has hard plastic body and aluminum back. ALUMINIUM.

Only cons are rattly buttons like x02 and no lock feature.
>>
>>58083225
If it's for reading you want e-ink.

does it shuffle?

>>
>>58083381
China can't do that
>>
>>58083323
A bit like the X20, it falls between two stools. Not as disposably cheap as the X02 and not as well built as an xDuoo X2.

>>58083693
Exactly. You might still find a Wexler Flex which I can thoroughly recommend, or it's the old eBay Paperwhite.

its pretty cool
but really expensive for a meme
hopefully tech like this will become a lot cheaper soon
>>
>>58083741
They were super expensive, then they were quite cheap, now they're a bit expensive again.
On the other hand you're not going to find anything as comfy and effortlessly portable outside a Kindle Oasis.

Is it normal if your tracking number changes? I ordered something months ago that never came, but the thing is it was still trying to ship for 2 months straight. Just today I had a delivery attempted but I wasn't home, and it says that it's something that's coming from China to my address. Have any of you guys had a package come that you ordered with a different tracking number?

>A bit like the X20, it falls between two stools. Not as disposably cheap as the X02 and not as well built as an xDuoo X2.
I agree. Although it might be a lot durable since it's a lot heavier. I dunno.

gonna get fucked by a new thread being posted but:

Is the Huion H420 any decent as a graphics tablet? Reviews seem nice but most of them are from meme osu players so it's kinda hard to tell. $30 on Amazon or $26~ from gearbest too, bretty good price.

Just want something to mess around with and maybe eventually use until I get a better one.
>>
Is zuk z2 a meme or what?
should I fall into it?
I still have the zenfone2 from last year cuz I've fallen to that meme,
>>
>>58084224
It's a good meme, like the rmn3p.
And yes, if you want flagship specs at a really low price.

Otherwise just get a 1+3t or something more expensive.
>>
>>58084224
It's a great 5" phone if you don't want to cash out for the Mi5.

>>58084224

>>
>>58084256

but I'm sad that there are no x86 phones anymore. they are good, can play hi10p chink cartoons stuff very well.

PSA to my fellow chinkshit buyers that are interested in the color Yeelight bulbs. If you're in America, the e27 bulbs are for Euro 220v lamp sockets and won't program correctly for you because they don't get enough power.
