I just discovered the existence of the "Amazfit" range, made by Huami, a Xiaomi partner.

They have a nice looking ring-shaped fitness tracker released a year ago though it looks abandonned, but then they just released pic retard. It looks pretty basic albeit functional, and with decent battery life.

My 4x4 gigs of DDR2 PC2-6400 memory is here! Packaging was intact, there was an ample amount of bubble wrap, and nothing was bent.

I don't think I got chinked, though. When using one of my old 1 gig memory modules in slot 0, it boots. This leaves me with 1+3*4=13 gigs of memory...

Why in the fuck are they not working as intended though? The voltage and everything is right, but my motherboard does not like having a 4 gig stick in slot 0. I think that it won't matter which of the four chinksticks I use, but I just cannot figure this out. My motherboard may be at fault. It's a Gigabyte GA-M720-US3. It also didn't recognize them as 800 MHz, but stuck with 667 MHz. This shouldn't be an issue, but it's still sketchy. Does anyone have any idea what I should be doing/looking for?

For instance it should quickly be apparent to you how things work.
An arduino lets you write software that responds to electrical input with electrical output. That way you can control all the electrical doodads. So for instance the motion sensor I linked has three pins. Ground, VCC (power), and output. When it detects motion you get an output. The arduino can take that and say turn on the lamp.
A basic arduino tutorial would teach you how to program the arduino to do some basic things.

Overall I'd say it's far easier than people anticipate.

Got my Sanrenmu WA631 today. It's a small swiss army knife type multi tool, sized between the keychain SAKs and the medium 91mm ones.

Pros:
- 12C27 steel and crazy sharp knife blade
- Bottle opener, belt cutter, flathead multi tool
- Really nice textured G10 scales
- Perfect build quality, on par with victorinox
Cons:
- Weird size (5cm blade), for most people it would be too big for a keychain item and too small for a primary knife
- Weird scissor design, they move up and down when you use them. Victorinox design is infinitely better
- Probably overpriced at ~15$
