There's an outlet above the shelf for various items. It was originally for a fan control, but the fan is in the wall and no longer used so I changed it to an outlet. And yeah, I just drilled up through the shelf. I've moved the station since then, and this is the latest photo, but, it's still a bit outdated. I've had to keep re-arranging because of various reasons. Hopefully I'll have things settled by summer lol

I fixed the TV with a led strip from ebay, it has a dedicated power supply and a toggle switch on the back of TV, because I was too lazy to find and test the correct rails from the TV psu.

I have zero idea. I just messed around with white balance, dimmed the lamps in the room and decreased the green channel by about 10% on the picture, and there it is. I'm still not satisfied with how the rest of the picture looks, but meh, baby steps.

If you're gonna go big I'd just get an ultrawide. Personally I prefer two 1440p monitors. Not the worst but definitely get rid of those boxes when you change out your monitors. I'm loving it so far & I've not even started messing around with the GPIO/SPI/I2C yet (which is the main reason I bought it). I think that as an indie/retro gaming device (which is what at lot of their marketing focuses on) it's probably quite lacklustre, but if you want a handheld Debian terminal it's fab.

what concerns me more is the setup with the high gravity fold up table. Here's a couple tips for a cheap upgrade on the desk front, solution number 1, fold up table like the kind you see at yard sales, get the big one, it will run close to $100 it will be an extremely sturdy surface you can put a table cloth on it and it always looks good. Solution no2, go to the hardware store and buy a cheap bedroom door, flat, wood would be prefered. These things are hollow, so they're light cheap and sturdy, yeah don't get the pressed cardboard shit. Buy some metal legs or black pipe legs and bolt them on. Soluton no3 would be to make the desk yourself with 2x6 and 2x4, make the top as you like and then use pipe for the legs, sturdy af.

I can't move the TV though.
