The ones that are so cheap you don't really care.

demar derozan was attempting crazy shit that would get him insta-benched in the nba like 360 dunk attempts, and it's not just this year, history is full of examples like vince carter climbing over 7ft centers, etc.

Depends on your climate/work environment. I live in a dry climate and pretty much wear my watch from my air-conditioned home to my air-condtioned car or metro (if I'm not lazy that day) to my air-conditioned office and back, so leather is perfectly fine. Otherwise, it may get too sticky. If you like the look you can always invest in waterproofed/"performance" leather (Hirsch and DiModell have some offerings - pic related).
>>
>>58056853
vostok komandirskie/amphibia are probably the ideal for that

why? because not only are they designed to be rugged enough, they're also cheap so you won't exactly feel like kys if you do manage to destroy one

seikos have certifications but you can get like 3 vostoks for the price of one, if not more
>>
>>58059062
Quartz Tissot is a product for non-watch people. I'm sorry, but your dad has atrocious taste.

Mechanical Tissot is a product for people who still place stock in the Tissot of the 60's/70's, when they were essentially on-par (in terms of quality) with Omega. The problem is, Tissot no longer make their movements, and their current watches can claim no heritage from the Tissot of the past.

It's in pretty bad conditions, do you guys think it would be possible to restore it?
I think the mechanism it's repairable, and maybe it would be easier to replace the glass and the bezel.
The watch it's probably worth no more than 200€ (in good conditions) so I don't really wanna spend more than its value

New crystal will tidy it up nicely, probably easy to find, the bezel may take some looking though.

The movement is likely functional, but in need of a service just to clean it up and get it running like new.

Take it to just about any watch maker or jeweller and just get it serviced.

The biggest idiot stamp a person can buy.

Tissot only began putting that on their dials in the 90's. Ironically, the appeal Tissot is making to their long history and heritage with that inclusion, breaks with their history and heritage.

I don´t precisely wear watches "regularly". as I must keep rotating to give them all some wrist time over the year.

For example, now that I came back home, my Speedy will rest comfortably in the safe at least until the first half of january.

However, one of the most affordable watches that I tend to wear, let's say often, is a Citizen Caliber 8700 (pic related, but not mine, obviously) in a cushion shape case.
It's acompletely analog, perpetual, full calendar that I enjoy very much.

What do you do in law that lets you travel so frequently? Are you a corporate attorney for an international group?

Should a guy with no interest in law attend law school if it is 100% free? I have interesting circumstances and I get 4 years of free graduate school tuition, as well as a monthly living stipend of 1k a month.

I've met several guys that work in areas completely not law-related, and have a succesfull living.

I didn't mention it because I wasn't wanting to attention whore, and also because everything here is logged into the botnet, but I'll post my story quickly

I moved 4 months before my senior year of high school. I graduated a year early at 17 and I had to spend only one semester at HS for a single english credit. I still didn't have a good idea how the world worked and was confused /younger, so I wasn't doing anything other than working. My dad pushed me to apply at the local Community college but it was ghetto so I disenrolled and went into a 2 year AS taught totally online from a private college. I finish my associate's July next year, and need to apply to my local uni by May that year as well.

Through being really blessed and fortunate, my entire education is free by a combination of 3 programs I am eligible for. I am not a med student or anything, I just figure that the two fields of study that will be the best ROI on my time are medicine and law.

I don't know what to get for my bachelors, I am thinking either BS in Informatics or a BS in Bus. Management. The only catch for my undergrad is it has to be a state sponsored public university, but as for graduate school, I can do to any school in the country and my entire tuition will be covered, I will also receive $1k a month for living expenses.

I didn't want to be a boastful cunt, but desu none of this happened through any of my own doing. I am just a typical millennial who has no idea what to do

Cheap nato straps order came in today and let me tell you, even on sales these straps are not worth it. Their nato straps are awesome but do not purchase their perlon straps. The clasp on their premium perlon straps is this chintzy piece of stamped sheet metal they didn't even bother to polish or round the corners. What the hell! The end of the strap is burnt all uneven and when wearing it, the strap is as stiff as cardboard and abrasive. Their specialty high end leather straps supposedly made in germany are also made poorly, where the strap loops to hold the spring bar, it's uneaven. fucking hell /g/ Never again!

Nixon watches any good? Just got a time teller delux as a first watch (i know im a poorfag you don't have to point it out)

No

Any reason why or?

Overpriced, low quality. It's just a bunch of watches designed to appeal to people who don't know about watches

It's a dogshit cheap movement and "robust" is a meme word with no meaning. Now I don't hate the movement nor the Seiko's lower line, but it is what it is

Is there any company more cucked than Panerai?
>>
>>58070728
I wouldn't call it a replica anon, the Chinese one probably has a much nicer, better decorated movement.

Alright chill
I got my order a few days ago
The perlons are stiff at first, just wash them and they get soft
The buckles are kinda shit, but considering I got 5 for like 20 bucks they're fine.
They're actually very comfy

Is 40mm too big for a woman or am I overthinking it? I feel like it does look a little big.

I'm not a gril but have gril-sized hands and wrists
>>
>>58070884
>Is 40mm too big for a woman
Yep
Buy a Casio LTP
There are some manlier designs that are woman sized
>>
>>58070884
Women's watches are less than 30mm

What's /g/'s opinion on Victorinox watches? I've seen some really nice ones selling on eBay for $50-60 USD.
>>
>>58071953
Casio makes better, more durable watches
>>
>>58070047
Do you have more shots in different angles of that SNK, I have one myself and I'm thinking of polishing it too.
>>
>>58071988
What about /fa/ wise? Casio looks good but it feels a bit too modern/tactical. Victorinox (and the other Swiss Army labeled watches) look a lot more dapper and refined.

Is this a joke?
Their watches are fucking hideous
Casio has a bunch of lines you can look at
Obviously theres the digitals and g-shocks
The MDV106 is a very durable and classically styled diver
There's also the MTP series of casual wear watches that are also pretty water resistant
Then theres the edifice chronos that are really nice but might be out of your budget

W-what?
>>
>>58071953
They are mediocre at best. I would rather get a chink watch with a miyota movement than one, and it would probably look better and keep time just as well for $40 less.

Casio makes some nice looking watches, you just have to wade through a lot of shit. They have a tank-style one that is somewhat passable. The mdv is good as another anon mentioned. Some of the edifice watches are also quite nice. Seiko also makes a number of nice looking cheap quartz watches, and even has every autist's favorite first mechanical.

Depending on the style of watch you want there are other options out there. Casio probably just has the most worthwhile options at that price point.

Maybe post a pic of the sort of watch you are interested in so we could give better suggestions?

Watches are technology as fuck.

A much older form of technology than computers etc, but still pretty fascinating tech.
>>
omfg this fucking philipino fgt hasn't shipped my watch. Told the fgt to update the shipping with a tracking and the trackign number leads to nothing. Holy fuck I'm fuming. I'm gonna have to ask for a refund from this cunt. Was really hoping he would ship my shit, but the fgt jsut won't ship it.

I know the 6r15 has "diashock", which means some of the main jewels have some kind of suspension. Or maybe just one jewel.

Not sure about any of the other Seiko movts.
>>
>>58073085
Diashock is Seikos inhouse shock protection system, akin to incabloc, and found on both 7S26's and 6r15s. Along with all of their mechanical movements.

Whats wrong with the Panerai? I've never really heard anything about it.
>>
>>58073169

Panerai cucked their fans into buying a limited edition watch with a non-decorated movement.
>>
>>58073169
Those were mostly referencing the Pam 318 shenanigans. They also have a heavy dose of Richemont cuckery, in addition to their general aesthetic which is pretty love or hate, coupled with the fact that every watch they make is the same style.

I was thinking of something up towards 10 k USD. Being a technical guy first (and a patent attorney second) I have an eye for functionality and would like triple date. Aesthetically speaking moonphase would be nice.

JLC does not seem to do lume, I guess that is a bit thrashy in their eyes.
