the hdd I use is a 3.5" with its own power.

The only usable distro so far is Ubuntu Xfce4, most stuff works out of the box including mounting ntfs storage etc.

desktop runs fine, even web browsing does not lag at all.

The issue at the moment is that the video drivers (for the mali450) are not there yet, so resolution is stuck at 1280x720 and video playback (gnome player and mpv) is a slideshow lol.
Expect future updates to bring this stuff

I personally do not care much since I'm going to run this headless as a server.

I am at work now, tonight I will test how it behaves when streaming 20 Mbps videos to kodi via the 1gbps ethernet,
which choked my rapsi

Just received some KZ ED9, the 4-pin jack version with microphone. Dank sound, but they just don't fucking work on iPhone.

Seems to be some poor grounding in there, which probably sends some little spikes on the microphone line, triggering voice commands, and then Siri be all like "yo wassup m8" and stopping music playback. To make things better, that shit can't be disabled.

Obviously I'll be contacting the vendor just for the standard crying to get my shekels back, but then still I'm wondering if this is an isolated case from a bad sample, or an actual issue with all of them.

Could be. Except the vendor obviously told me they're made for iPhones (but then obviously he could be lying), and one guy on /csg/ actually confirmed it. On top of that, it just works perfectly fine, both the sound and microphone, when it's not acting up. And it's fucking up as expected on an Android phone.

I've had quite a few things fail on me in the last 12 months where this would have saved me.
For example, at work we have an OKI microline dot matrix printer that is ESSENTIAL for daily operations.
A single, tiny plastic gear stripped its teeth and this $1,000 printer was fucked, and I had to buy another one, which came out of our monthly maintenance budget (any excess in the budget is rolled over, until the next financial year in which it becomes part of our stipend).

Also, might print some hyper realistic dog cocks, cast them in food grade silicone and sell them to furfags for a massive markup.

Because I need the camera to move beyond my line of sight and access places I'm not allowed in, but where no one will notice or hear a drone, such as large scale industrial complexes where everyone wears audio protection.

Based on my experience in hiking in SEA with locally sourced gear, it is FUCKING GARBAGE. And here it is trying to gear up for a trip.

Well, my black Piston Youths arrived so here's a review. I won't be including a picture because they're fake and they look the same as the original.

I bought them from GearBest hoping they'd be genuine since GB isn't really an unknown chinkshit seller. When they came, they looked genuine except some minor dirt on one side of the box. Everything seemed in order, no weird scratches on the earbuds themselves, buttons are nice and clicky and the microphone sounds great by what I've gathered from reports of people I've talked with.

Now the sound comes into play. It was weird at first. I couldn't instantly pin it as fake but I was sure it was sounding off. After some short burn in these are my impressions. These are able to reproduce the sound from 20Hz to 20kHz but the frequency response is all over the place. Lower end is basically nonexistent while the mids and highs are there and very cold. Highs don't really pierce my ears but they just sound tinny. I know le audiophile meme but the word really describes the sound well. It sounds... distorted? Not to mention that you can hear it crackling on some occasions when there's a lot of bass and mids combined. Weirdly enough, they reproduce 20Hz to 100Hz sine waves without any hearable distortion but when non sine waves come into play, it gets a lot more complex. Cable itself seems okay and the only thing I've noticed is a little tick on the control thingy below the right earbud.

How did I know these were fake for sure? Scan the QR code at the bottom of the cable. It led me to a site saying they are genuine but upon further inspection, the site was on a domain "mierji.com" instead of "mi.com" and after doing a whois on mierji, it led me to some long-named chinese company which is accused of fakes and scams on google.

I've sent a report to GB in hopes they'll give me a full refund because this shit is not cool. These fakes are getting incredibly good but the sound is still a dead giveaway.

I don't think Greece or turkey will agree to that (OK maybe greece because they owe money, but then the migrants are still in the EU and will just come back). They would have the same problem identifying where to move them
