I ordered one of those XL pads. As much as I like the Shidenkai Mid I'm using now, it needs constant cleaning and is already getting slightly yellow-y on some spots. Probably still going to use it for some games, but whenever I play Titanfall, I feel like it's too small and smooth.

Something homely with a few plants and maybe a pet of your choice. A place where you'd like to curl up and stay for a while. That's the point of making a battlestation, isn't it? Even better when it's made a way that shows you sometimes invite friends over, and you occasionally watch something together or whatever.

Ideally it should also look intriguing, making people want to discover what's in the room/house. With these minimal designs the problem is you see everything immediately, and you aren't eager to see more. Also it looks unwelcoming.

Can you fine folks help me out with a Slight issue?

I've Put together the PC parts ive bought, and it starts up seemingly fine when i power on. However, it does not enter BIOs which means it isn't working.

When i start, it flashes the VGA LED on the "EZ debug LED" cluster-thing. Then it goes black. After that, there are red LEDs behind the motherboard that light up. I'm not sure this isn't just decoration, however.

What things could i try? I have a screen connected to it.

ended up going with this because i planned to put a decent rack under the tv so i could place my consoles etc but i never ended up doing it, too lazy
theres just a very short table under the tv at the moment

i got all of that stuff over time, my main monitor is probably 5 years old or something, the shit speakers are probably that old too
the hardest hits on my wallet were the headphones tv
tvs are naturally expensive as fuck but i found one for a """decent""" price, around 1k brl
the headphones made me want to die cause i had to import them, around 600 brl

the portrait thing wasnt really a bother at all, you just cant drag stuff to the top of it right away but i never did that

Any got some advice for finding the right desk for myself? I want something simple and sturdy, preferably just the legs and table with no drawers. 50-55 inches in length, max 25 inches in depth, and at least 27 inches from the floor to the bottom of the table.

Does anyone have good experience with buying a table top and legs separately? I saw IKEA had supplies in for that, but unfortunately I couldn't find a table top there I liked. What are some other retailers that sell table tops and legs separately?

the vertical one is actually the 4:3 version of the one on the right.
the desk wobbles front/back slightly, but not left/right which is fine. I'm still looking for a real desk though, I built this one out of an old wood riser (It looked like and was used as a speaker stand for a while) and a painting.
realistically, if I just put some more wood pieces across the back it'd be sturdy enough for most anything.

I'm not sure what kinda speaker stands to get. I want some floor ones for the larger tv speakers and something about 7 inches high for the desk ones.

Honestly I don't think technology and nature-y shit mix very well, you're making almost a general room design that way. I think showing off your tech in the most visually pleasing way possible without seeming like a bored housewife is the best way.
