trying to find a functional set up that performs like a home theatre and desktop pc for games
this has been working fine so far but the issues come with headphone amp/receiver a little too far unless i scoot up real close, table is a little wobbly and when i move it out of the way it's still taking up a lot of space in the room (doesn't fold)

What do you have in mind? My highest hope would be a home theater type shelf with a matching desk at the same hight and width that would scoot up well enough. I like sitting about 4-6 feet from the screens. I watch a lot of tv and movies though so the table moves back and forth a lot (i just position it against the wall)

another idea has been to have a desk to the side. all the computer stuff there and just have the tv and speakers with a longish hdmi and audio cable (I'm using spdif out cause my line out is pretty awful) but I like gaming on the big tv too, so I figure I'll still need some type of moving mouse/keyboard tray or table anyways.

Yeh I used the have the longer saljann counter top. It was extremely heavy and sagged under it's own weight. If you put a leg in the middle from the start you should be good. I never found the kitchen counters or the linnmons to be deep enough though. That's ultimately why I got a dinner table.

If you are in an environment that makes closed backs needed and listen to alot of music i think it is worth it. I spend hours every evening with them on my head so it is worth it for me.

I have had Denon AH-D5000s, various open back Sennheisers and LCD2s before and the XCs are the best by a wide margin (they should as they cost as much as all those others combined i guess!). I love them and feel that they have pulled the load of what i payed for them!

Saving for a new GPU and a second monitor. Got that 40" TV for a steal, so PC is next for upgrading.

That PC is from 2010, and the only upgrade was chucking a 2gb video card into it when the original card from 2010 died.

Are corner desks a good deal?

I don't really need one, but I figure they might be nice for keeping a laptop on the side or instead of pushing my mouse and keyboard away I can just turn to the side if I want to read a book on my desk or draw or whatever. The problem is just the table I'm looking at is like 1cm too deep on the cornered side which means I might not be able to place it directly against the wall or I'll have to keep the door partially closed at all times. My autism makes me unhappy with either of those things but technically they're not horribly problematic either. Alternatively I can just say fuck it and buy a normal straight desk and not worry about any of the spacing. Judging by my tiny ass room what would you do?
