Alright, so my redmeme finally made it's way to Texas damn near a month after ordering it, and I have a few questions.
When I put in my sim card (cricket) from my old phone into my redmeme, it tells me I have service, but I don't seem to have a data connection. It gives me the options to switch from 4g to 3g and 2g, but none work. Do I have to call up my carrier to switch my shit, or is it simply not compatible? If I put it back in my old phone, I get 4G back just fine.
Also, how easy is it to flash cyanogenmod on these things? I've always rooted my phones, but never flashed a custom ROM.

I went from a Galaxy S2 to Moto X Play. I like the battery life and the specs are fine for my usage. But I fucking hate stock Android. It's so limiting and even annoying at times. Is raising processing power pointless now?

I use Z5C as my everyday phone - it runs flawlessly and i'm pretty much satisfied. However, i just bought used Nexus 4 for reasons and holy shit, this S4-powered five years old piece of history is running just insignificantly slower in everyday tasks (communicator, browser, music) compared to my Z5C. And my Z5C is running almost stock Android now, it's stock rom but i debloated it a lot.

I begin to understand why Priv had "only" 808. Power is useless when you have >= four proper cores on Android.

It doesn't overheat at all. And i enjoy playing PPSSPP/FPSE/sometimes even native android games on bedside a lot, so i think i stress it pretty well. It gets warm sometimes, but never hits uncomfortable levels. I guess as far as properly specced+compact Android smartphones go, i couldn't do better.
