i need to make a program that prints the numbers inserted in even position, it's weird cause we still didn't study arrays, but i tried to make it with that little javascript knowledge i had.

why doesn't this shit work

#include <stdio.h>

int main(void) {
int nNumbers, number, i, c, nEvens, even = 0;

do {
printf("How many numbers?\n");
scanf("%d", &nNumbers);
} while (nNumbers <= 0);

nEvens = nNumbers / 2;
int list[nEvens];

for (i = 0; nNumbers != 0 ; nNumbers--, i++){
printf("\nInsert value no. %d.\n", i+1);
scanf("%d", &number);

if (even == 1) {
list[i] = number;
even = false;
}
else if (even==0){
even = true;
}

}

for (c=0; c < nEvens; c++){
printf("%d, ", list[c]);
}

Stupid question,

I used to run a discreet HTPC, I gave it to a friend as a gayman PC with some old parts added.

Now after finding my laptop annoying to use as an HTPC part time I want to build a new HTPC.

I'm also planning on fucking around with using PFSense since the router provided by my ISP is dildos.

Is it even a decent idea to get say old server bits and run a Dual-CPU Xeon setup, and run that one rig as my HTPC, NAS, and PFsense box?

Or would it be easier to do something like rPi and grab on old workstation off cl or evil bay for the NAS/PFsense box.

How do I make multi-minitor work properly in Windows 10?

I have currently set it up so that my main monitor and a Samsung TV are connected as an extended display so that I can toss my browser or MPCHC over there so that I can watch stuff.

For some reason my taskbar occasionally disappears from the main monitor. Is there something I need to do to make it not fucking crash? It happens like 3-4 times a day. A quick log off and login seems to fix it, but it's seriously pissing me off.

A few weeks until my chink streambox for the TV arrives, but this is seriously annoying the shit out of me. No idea what triggers it, but it seems to fuck up alt-tab too, which becomes REALLY zoomed in on the left side of the alt-tab menu.

If anyone has any idea what might be causing it, I'm all ears. I tried to install DisplayFusion, but that didn't fix anything and the taskbar just ends up disappearing anyway.

I bought an extra router to reach the other end of my friends house for wifi signal.
>>
>>57608329
the difference is that the latter stores anything it downloads, regardless of if it was wanted or not
the former discards them

either way your bandwidth use is the same, torrent chunks are not aligned with the files described by the metadata, so downloading a file only means you're downloading every chunk that contains any part of that file, which may include neighbouring files

Not unless they work for it. They would have to get a dummy device, move it onto your line, and use that device to authorize a password change for your account. Is it possible that I had a shitload of malware on my PC because I went on a 4chan archive website?
>>
>>57609487
Probably not. Only if you're fucking up somehow in your applications.

The way I do things, there are normally third-party recruitment vultures who hoard all the available jobs for themselves so you can't apply for a job unless you go through them, and then if you get a job, they get commission from the employer based on your salary. So you don't need to pay money at any point.

Although I confess I am fucking shit at being hired for anything. Without my rich parents, I would probably be dead. There should be a thread with help for finding jobs, because I refuse to believe that I suck so much at something that literally everyone else can seemingly do without any effort.

But yeah, giving the job website money sounds like bullshit to me unless you're paying them to teach you how to write a CV or do a job interview, both of which you can learn to do for free.

Yes, it's perfectly safe.

However. If you don't frequently use all of your RAM, know you're losing a tiny amount of speed by not having dual channel.

It's not dangerous, but it will probably be a lot slower than you'd expect because RAM gets a boost when it's paired with another stick that is the same. Also, make sure the empty slot is the fourth slot. If it's a different slot, your computer will slow down even more.

it should be alright, but I would really recomend cleaning it up and putting new paste on. If it's the stock thermal paste, which is generally applied in a thin layer that won't spread much when applied you definetly should.

Rubbing alcohol won't hurt the electronics and is the standard for cleaning up thermal paste when used with a lint-less cloth/paper like a coffee filter. Try to get the more concentrated rubbing alcohol (like 95 or 97 percent), not the 70.

I want to upgrade my existing 1.5TB HDD, which I use only for data storage, to a 3TB HDD. Can I just copy over the contents (about 1TB) through Windows or do I need to clone the drive?

From https://github.com/nylira/prism-break/issues/1516 :

Yeah, I guess it's good. For now.

What's a free online gif/webm storage? I already have flicker but it only supports static types
>>
>>57611762
Since it is only storage and not an OS you do NOT need to clone it. Cloning is to replace a bad drive if possible or like when you switch from an hdd to a ssd in a laptop
>>
>>57610974
ungoogled chromium

Can my bank see exactly what I'm buying when I use my debit card? My statement just says "Walmart" or something like that when I buy things, but I want to know if they actually get a list of items.

What's the lightest web browser for a SHIT Windows pc that still supports basic add-ons like Ad blocking?

I was using Pale Moon but it honestly feels very outdated and because of that I'm worried about the security features.
>>
>>57612051
what the fuck did you purchase?
>>
>>57611876
>How is it compared to stock Firefox?
Well it was pretty much like regular Firefox except maybe a little faster and more old-fashioned looking (no Australis). The available addons are also restricted slightly restricted: https://addons.palemoon.org/incompatible/

Not the most technical answer, but I hope that helps.

I got a copyright infringement notice for torrenting a fuckload of TV shows using uTorrent. My ISP is Rogers in Canada.

Am I gonna get fucked by my ISP? Got worried so I'm now using a proxy through utorrent but I'm wondering if I should use a VPN service instead.

I'll crack open my laptop for the first time to do some cleanup and check everything's working fine. What should I look for/do to the heatsink and fan?

S7 edge BTW

So when setting up a USB to use as a bootdisk for installing loonix, the guides for every district I've seen have the instructions for formatting the stick in Linux. If I'm a Windows-only pleb, can I use Cygwin and get it to work?

How do I send a message to all my facebook friends? I recently got a new cell phone number and messaging them all at once my new number will save time.

No, they only see where you buy it from

Go to my friends, create a new friend list, add all your friends, then go to inbox, new message, add your friend list
or
Go to inbox, new message, type all your friends' names
>>
>>57612238
I'm guessing most likely yes, I don't see where the problem would be
>>
>>57612224
Well sir, have you considered restarting your phone?
>>
>>57612163
Most ISPs aren't going to do shit but they will probably trottle your bandwidth if they see you're torrenting. I wouldn't worry unless you get multiple warnings and even then I'd doubt they would do anything. I'd go with a VPN.

The Internet of Things is a fucking retarded idea we're going to really, really regret some day, hopefully it will be sooner rather than later so the damage is minimized. Why you would want every appliance and infrastructure component of your house and city to be eve hypothetically hackable by some neckbeard or government is beyond me.
>>
>>57612568
Yup. I restarted my phone this morning and this is the result
>>
>>57612619
try it again sir, it might be a wirus
>>
>>57612593
It's not about who wants it. It's about when and how corporations decide to push this shit on you, to line their own pockets. We are seeing this with "Smart" TVs already. They record your conversations and use it to make money (gee I wonder how that could go horribly wrong), so the makers have a strong financial incentive to push the technology onto the potential consumers. No one's asking for a TV that connects to the internet, they just aren't particularly opposed to it.

Does OSX have native support for .rar archives yet?
>>
>>57612826
No, because programs/OSes/etc. need permission from the creator of .RAR to manipulate these files. The limitation's purely legal.
>>
>>57612051
depends on what you bought, if it's legal they can inquire with the shop and find out if it's illegal the police will inquire with the bank and they will inquire with the shop - so the answers yes if the bank wants to
