I want to start mining bitcoin but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. Should I mine solo or in a pool? And I'll be getting 7-8 ant miner s7's cost is around $600. Would it be worth it?

You missed mining by about 6 years. It's not profitable unless you have millions to spend on hardware.
