Ok /g/, I have an iPhone SE that won't power on. It's not water damaged or locked, but the warranty is voided. I usually don't do anything beyond screen replacements at my shop but this is for a friend. Where can I find PDFs of board schematics for the newer A9 devices? I googled and only found old/incomplete stuff. I appreciate your time. Thanks in advance.

Nobody does board-level component replacement these days. It's too hard for an artisan-type repairman to do that stuff and his time is expensive.
In the real world we have the concept of Field Replacable Units - the smallest economically replacable part. The docs guide you to the FRU and you replace it.
This fantasy of finding and replacing SMD components is a dead end.

I remember seeing some youtube channel where a guy would do this kind of shit. He'd even find blow transistors and fix water damage n shit

The data on the phone is valuable too. Swapping the whole board is not an option. Not only is what you're suggesting stupid and expensive, it's wasteful and hurts the environment. I need to do the repairs this weekend, so if you have some links please post them.

No. This is my first time on /g/ in like 3 days.

He's kinda right tho. If the problem is on the main board then there's not much you can do. Also you can re solder the memory chip on to a new board with the right tools.

Because that's his full time job and he's got the skills and equipment to do it.
You don't sound like you know what you're doing whatsoever.

I can repair the board. I also can't solder the memory chip onto another the board without doing a full DFU restore to get the OS and all hardware working properly. As I said, wiping is not an option.

He's not OP and yes, I have repaired smartphone boards before. I'm not going to just start desoldering stuff without schematics though.
