I'll suck your dick for all of that goodness besides the acer monitor.

I have an SS2 that'll get OpenBSD or NetBSD at some point. it has this fun thing in it.
the SS5 was more of a test to see if I could viably use it as a Linux box because that's what I'm most comfortable with.

fair enough, I've heard newer *nixes are fucking garbage on older sparc32 shit like that though
doesn't feel right running anything other than slowlaris/SunOS on that shit desu, feels like you're just getting the same experience you can on a thrift store core2 box but infinitely slower, messing with a new and different platform is half the fun of that shit
but I do wonder how far you can get on the mothballed sunfreeware packages for older solaris versions, guess you can always just telnet into another *nix system if you need ssh for example

sparc32 isn't supported on modern distros past Debian Etch. there are those running Gentoo that can get them to boot modern 3.x kernels, but until the 4.x kernel allows for in-line kernel swapping, which IIRC was supposed to be a thing, you can't get over the 2.xMB size limitation of the initial kernel size in RAM at boot from SILO/OpenBoot.

pretty interesting, thought there were still some distros with sparc32 support, though shit barely any even support 64 now I guess
