opinions on Denon AH-D1100? looking for headphones in the < $100 range that aren't too large. the 1100s would be ok, just barely.

Are HD600s a meme or are they as good as I keep hearing? Also do I need a DAC too?

Fuck off back to /a/ weeb. There are no REAL headphones in the image. You faggots are pathetic.

Why would you?
>>57247633
I'd go with HD600 , k702 or DT880, whichever pleases you the most.
No, it isn't a meme.
You'd need a dac if you source was really bad (making unwanted noises etc), other than that, you are probably fine with what you have.
How are the ATH-AD 5/7/900X's? I'm thinking of picking these up for gaming mostly and I listen to EDM. I don't mind if the bass is a bit light since I've had Superlux HD 681's before my current Samson SR950's.

I just need something that will keep other sounds out, and provide me with a good sound barrier. I'm going to travel a lot soon (airplane), and I need something that is cheap (can be lost/stolen), rugged, and sound-isolating.
Sound quality isn't that big of a deal. I just want to be able to shut talking people, crying babies, and engine noise out.
Thanks.
>>57249452
Comfier than those Superluxes and less peaky treble response.
>>57249676
Thanks. Which is the best of the 3 in terms of Bass quantity?
>>57249753
All measurements I've seen point out near identical response in the bass. All have little of it.

I used JVC HA-RX700 for 4 years now. before that mostly as cheap as possible ~5 dollar earphones
my JVC HA-RX700 broke today and i gotta find a new headset. I might aswell just grab some gaming headset that includes a microphone but im not sure where to start. i dont really trust "best gaming headset" guides and thought i'd start here

Looking to get into good audio, have most of my music in flac or 320kbs Mp3 already, but don't want a crazy expensive pair, just one that's good value for money.

Currently have a pair of Fischer audio consonance which sound pretty damn good for the price with comply tips. I've had SE215 I enjoyed but its been a decade since I've had those and I forgot what drew me to them. I'm a huge fan of comply tips but I'm tired of paying for new tips all the time. Do CIEMs give similar benefits as comply tips, i.e. more snug thus better sound, less fatigue, louder etc.? If so Customart music one fits my budget better but I might be willing to pay for the music two. Is the separate woofer/tweeter worth it or is the music one good enough for the money?
Thinking of buying these for work, but I'm worried about sound leakage.
Can any of you fine anons give me an idea about how much my music will be audible to my coworkers? Closest guy sits about an arm's length away from me.
Also are the 80 Ohm's the best for using without an amp?
>>57252633
Not much unless you absolutely blast the music out loud. Those isolate very well inside and outside. 80 Ohms are a safe choice with or without an amp.
>>57252633
It won't leak unless it's loud enough to actually hurt your ears, so you should be safe. 80ohms is a safe bet too.
>>57252650
>>57252696
That's what I was hoping to hear, thanks anons.
Looking into the SoundMagic E10 and I've found some reviews mentioning that their isolation is not great.
Anyone that owns them that could tell me much they leak (if any)?
>>57252633
When I had the dt770's (80 ohm) I remember them sounding a ton better with an amp though

If your ears are sensitive to treble and you want clean bass then go the sennheiser hd600
If you want a teensy bass boost go the k712
If you like treble go the dt880
If you can afford them get the hd650

are there a lot of hd800 owner in these generals?
Ever since I resoldered my headphone jack, voices have been unbalanced towards the left side of my headphones. The instrumental sounds are fine, it's just voices that are off. I've redone the join about 10 times, tried different jacks, always got the same problem. If I press the L&R wires together I get perfectly-balanced mono sound, so it's definitely a problem with the lead, not the drivers.
Has anybody got any advice beyond 'solder more carefully next time's or 'buy a new pair'? I'm a poorfag student and can't afford to drop 3 figures on solving this.

my Sony MDR-EX650APT died recently and I was really happy with them. I think I could get something better now tho.
