The show doesnt make sense, they took down the world banking system, and the whole second season is the guy sitting at a basketball court and other petty bullshit. The guy is a serious lamer who should have been killed a bunch of times

Originally stopped watching it five minutes into the pilot after the grand opening scene establishes the main character as being a piece of shit faggot snitch, calling the cops on a guy for running a Tor site. Fuck that, don't need no fucking narc protagonist. I'd rather fucking watch CSI Cyber reruns (and do).

Went back to the show a few months later and watched a few more episodes--boring, forgettable crap.

The only real selling point is Christian Slater, because he's awesome in everything, but he doesn't get nearly enough screen time.

Avoid.

People need to accept it as it is--a 'hacker' show that took little bit more time doing its homework than pulling out nonsensical jargon out their ass like CSI: Cyber.

I think one thing people need to realize is that it's easy to destroy things--it's easy enough to walk out into a street with a gun and kill someone dead. It's dealing with the consequences that's hard. Literally the first half of the season was Elliot desperately trying to pull his life back together, and distance himself from an incident that he didn't quite have full control over.

There are plenty of reasons to hate this show--first season played too much like Fight Club, but complaining about the hacking psuedo-science shouldn't be one of them.

You misunderstand his motives--Elliot is pretty much a nihilist who largely does stuff out of whims, even if it risks personal injury.

He hacks people because he can, and rather than try and pull a profit out of it, he reports it out of some shallow sense of justice.

He doesn't look for fame or glory--he's a dark knight and a vigilante that does things for no one but himself and the people he has personal connections with.

It's Mr. Robot--that deep-rooted personal vendetta against large corporations that spurred the whole project.

Are you fucking retarded? It's literally the most realistic show to depict hacking/cracking EVER. Especially the first season. There isn't a single piece of software they use that isn't real, and isn't capable of exactly what it did on the show.

That's actually the only thing I LIKE about it. The rest of the show is fucking garbage, but at least they managed to make hacking/cracking look interesting without obnoxious 3D cubes or floating through pseudocode.
